US Energy Products 2 Car Garage Door Insulation Kit (5 Panel) for Double 18x7 or 18x8 Garage Doors with 5 Horizontal Panels

I had odd garage panels, two different heights and the top has a rail so it is an even different height. My first attempt at cutting down the height was a bit messy. Then I built a template that was the right width to cut off and I laid the material on double thick cardboard and made a series of cuts the right width. That went pretty fast, went through a few blades as they dull pretty quickly.I cleaned the metal I was going to fasten the tape to twice, let it dry completely then installed a rows worth of tape, firmly pressed down and let it sit for at least a couple of hours before putting up a panel. Once I figured out how to cut around the hinges it was all easy going.I removed the bottom reinforcing rail you see in my picture, installed that row of foam and then went back and reinstalled the rail.Super hot direct afternoon sun here in Arizona on my west facing garage door and everything has held up fine and there are no longer waves of heat rolling off the inside of that garage door in the afternoon. Definitely reduces the heat load.Pleased with the result though, like I said, I had a bit of a learning curve in the beginning figuring out the best way to cut to size

I found this product vary difficult to cut square and to adhere to the tape evenly. Do not rely on the manufacture lines on the insulation to cut square lines. If I had to do it again I would set up a jig to make cuts.Take your time.

Took wife and I 4 hours to install yesterday. Came with plenty of tape, squeegees and razor blades. The product works as advertised and think it has already reduced humidity and it is cooler in the room next to the garage. Live in Florida and this was well worth the money

Fairly easy to install. Probably could install by yourself, but another person is helpful. Plenty of material supplied to complete the job with some leftover for patch repairs, etc. It does effectively keep the garage cooler. Our garage door faces south west so it gets a lot of afternoon sun.

Used the double stick tape that was included. By morning the tape had become loose from the insulation although it stuck to the door just fine. Not sure why. Had to use additional adhesive.

The double sided tape doesn’t hold, the panel comes off every two days. Not much improvement in garage temp either. More headache than benefit for me!
