I have been on a quest to find a flat iron (a 2 in 1) to curl and make waves in my short, thick, coarse hair.This is it!I have tried Kristin Ess, LivChic, Landot, Terviiix, and others. Let's see... Kristin Ess: burned my hair (and with my hair texture, that's hard to do), LivChic: plates weren't tight enough and my hair just slipped through, Landot: didn't grip well and even at 1" was just too darn big for short hair, Terviiix: not smooth, hair gets caught and yanks out.I practically lived at the UPS Store, as I was constantly returning irons.I wouldn't have looked twice at this little cheap thing except that it was made by Jinri.I have a Jinri blow dryer brush and I love it. It has a 1-1/4 inch barrel and is perfect for drying/styling short hair. Got it here on Amazon and highly recommend!Anyway, because it was made by them, I went ahead and tried it.I love it! The heat is a good temperature (not adjustable, but hot enough to work without frying your hair), and even though it's considered travel-size it's the perfect size to work with short hair. It can get close to the scalp and not burn your skin. It's solidly built and has a long, rotating cord. It comes with 2 alligator clips and is attractively packaged in a nice box. It's quality would easily compete with high-end, more expensive irons. And it's an absolute steal at $11.I hope with this review, I can save you the time, money, and aggravation I've gone through.Seriously, just buy it. I can pretty much guarantee you'll love it.And be beautifully coiffed! lol

These are very easy to use, it’s like holding a pen

I was nervous about this flat iron because I am sort of prone to injury but....this iron is really nice. Heats up SUPER fast. The control in on the inside of the iron, with a digital display outside that lets you know the temp.When you section your hair, go slowly over each area. I used a reg blow dryer to get my hair almost fully dry, applied a good quality hair serum and then used my new Jinri. Great results and it has a small velcro strap to wind the cord up when you are finished.

I purchased because of all the reviews were positive. Its a really good iron and the price is great. smaller blades put I like it better to curl my hair if I choose. Heats up really fast and it lite for travel and use. I m really happy with the product just as good as my last iron that I spent $140 . this is a good value !!

This fell apart within a year of ownership and using maybe twice a week Max. Not worth it, but something a little nicer and it will last far longer.

I only bought this specific straightener based solely off of reviews and i was not steered wrong!Great price. Quality seems to be there.I purposely made my hair a mess last night and woke up to straighten it. Worked well. If you have thick hair, just take smaller sections.I couldn't figure out how to get it to close. Some straighteners you slide a button and it locks it closed for storage.Only a minor feature I would like to have it have.I know sometimes when you buy something on Amazon, it ends up coming from China in a gray bag with china addresses and writing all over it. This was made in China but sold in the USA i believe. It came in regular packaging with an address I could read because it was in English.I will write an updated review in a few weeks. I very seldom straighten my hair. It will take me a few weeks to get a couple uses in.

I went with this product after reading the review, nothing negative at all. But for me, I don't like that the plates do not come together evenly. I have to squeeze the device to get it tight on my hair. And if I don't, the iron only flattens a portion of my hair. And since I have a lot of hair, it takes longer than it should. Since I paid less than $50...it is decent quality for the price.
