Very accuate, made in USA
Super accurate gauge, electronic sender so no water coming into the cabin. Easy to install and easy to trust this made in USA gauge.

Tired or the Chinese made replacement sensors.
I get really tired of wasting time, energy and fuel going to the parts house to swap out your faulty sensor for another Chinese made sensor, only to have that one fail in a couple of weeks. Not to mention the stress that they cause because you think you engine is about to blow a head gasket due to over heating.

Easy to install, good quality for the price.
Works great. Didn't need anything complicated, stylish, or expensive. This has been installed on an aircraft belt loader as a replacement for another temperature gauge that was smashed. It was very easy to install, the sending unit threaded right in to the existing thermostat housing, and its a nice clean and simple look. Will definitely be going back to Auto Meter for all my future gauge needs,

Works good easy install especially if already using these guages
Works great used it to replace a 10 yr old version of the same guage reads accurately and keeps me from overheating my little 5.0 small block

Great gauge, great sender, mediocre lighting.
Fantastic gauge and sender unit combo. The gauge is very responsive, found it to be very accurate as to what I was expecting to read, and the entire unit is very complete. Instructions are clear, accessories are provided to assist in mounting both the gauge and sender, and overall installation was painless. The only strike aginst this unit is the lighting. The bulb housing that screws into the back interferes with the nut that attaches to ground, so you have to unscrew that nut in order to install the bulb. The lighting provided is incandescent, andyou can either have standard white light, or apply a green/red cover to the bulb to change the color. While this system works, it's far from ideal. The lighting is fairly faint, and you can only see it in the evening/night. Not necessarily a problem, but an LED would be a vastly superior option. I am ordering a few 12V LED's to replace the bulbs with, and that should help me get a significantly brighter gauge and expand my color selection. So overall: Great budget gauge that is a snap to install, but the back-lighting leaves something to be desired. Acceptable at this price point, and with a little electrical know-how, you can easily make this gauge the equivalent of a unit that is double the price.

Requires calibration
The unit was fairly easy to install but ended up reading way to high. Since my background allowed me the knowledge required to recalibrate the unit I did so and it ended up reading right. I suspect that the wrong value sender is responsible.
