A person to Pirate
If your passion is pirates and humanity then this is a great read about the history of humanity, some of us go one way and some another, as if there are only two....One has to chose their own way. This is a great study of humanity socially and physiologically. What makes us who we become, nurture or nature.. Besides that this is a great first hand account of humanity in the past, how it was seen and how it happened. I would recommend this book to anyone who has a passion to learn about pirates and about the inclinations of humanity.. We all have our own path in the time and space we live, this reveals to us theirs in their time and space... What would you have done.... seeking ones nook and cranny begs the question, why must I look for my nook and cranny..... Maybe these rouges found theirs..... Sally Brown...

In Their Own Words
This is the first book I've read on true pirate history (but it won't be the last), and I found this book compelling and informative, while imagining actually having been in these situations. I found it a bit difficult to read, to be honest, because many of the sentences were strung together in a way I'm not used to. That's not to say it can't be followed; just know that it's not written in the English of today. These tales of bloodthirsty pirates and their battles are chilling to read. Details are shared of some of the most gruesome injuries and deaths. Pirates were often not merciful, and not always content to steal what they could. I think this is a title that belongs in any historian's collections, especially of piratical and nautical history.

Yo Ho Ho
This is an historical reproduction. It was first published in 1837, put together by an anonymous compiler, then reprinted by the Marine Research Society in 1924. I do not own the edition shown here; rather I have a version from Applewood Books and it is loaded with 19th Century wood-cut illustrations. It was intended to be sensational tales of bloody crimes by evil men - a job which it does well - not necessarily historically accurate accounts.Mainly “true crime” adventures to tickle the wicked hearts of the reading public. Have fun.

Pirates Own Book
The perfect gift for adults who loved pirates when they were children. The book is an excellent grown up version of the stories that are told to children. The names of the pirates are familiar but the information more gorily real.
