Bought these to use during a home renovation. So far, I've used them to guide my jig saw to make straight cuts on hardboard and plywood. The real reason to get them, though, was to trim the top an bottom of new doors which I have yet to do but I have no doubt these guides/clamps will do the job. They are easy to adjust for length and the adjustable clamping force has come in handy for use on relatively thin materials like the hardboard. So far, the only minor drawback I can see is that the measuring scales tend to slide out. I don't use them to measure anything but I have had to slide them back in from time to time. I definitely recommend these for DIY home repair and renovation. They are probably rugged enough for professional handyman use as well.

I bought one of these at a woodworking shop over 12 years ago and it's still working beautifully. I bought these three based on that first one and am glad to say that they are still just as well made. Note that the stated lengths of the clamps (24 inches or 48 inches etc.) describe their working span. The total length of each clamp is actually several inches longer.

Good.Two suggestions:1. The handles aren't as long as they should be. Peachtree sells a longer handle separately, but come on. A couple more inches of handle is not going to break the bank.2. You can't easily get a perfect 90 degree hold. Again Peachtree sells this separately, but these clamps are not cheap in first place. I would have gladly paid a little more to have these options initially incorporated.

Great clamps with a multitude of uses with the offered add ons you can purchase............ recommend highly !! I did purchase the wider jaws for these, for added clamping strength........... although not needed as much as I had thought.

Items appear to be very good quality. Have not yet used them, but they seem to work the way they should.

A must if you want to cut or router straight lines. They clamp good and quick.Great for cutting plywood with a Dremel or controlling your router with the router plate, sold separately.
