What a great product! I installed this in my '80s Westfalia ...
What a great product!I installed this in my '80s Westfalia VW Camper Van. It fits really nicely behind the drivers seat. I have it connected to both my crank battery and a new Axillary battery that I have installed under the drivers seat.I really like the size/form factor. It does not get in the way or make any noise when connected to shore power. It does a really good job at charging both batteries, however it also maintains them as well as conditions them during the long months that they are stored.I always have confidence that my main crank battery will start, regardless of weather or electronics usage while camping. It is an excellent addition to the camper life and the price is just right! The installation is fairly straight forward for a VW Camper Installation. Cable one goes to the positive terminal on your crank battery while cable two's positive goes to the terminal on the AUX battery. Camper Vans typically have an isolator solenoid that engages when the Alternator kicks in so it can charge both batteries. Wiring the positive from cable 1 and cable 2 to both connectors on the isolator works great. Ground the other two terminals from cable 1 and cable 2 to a solid ground then plug it in. I wired it this way and it works like a charm, keeping both batteries up to snuff. The product was shipped to me quickly and free of charge even though it wasn't offered on Prime. The seller did a good job and I appreciate the business. I would buy from them again.Bottom line: If you are looking for a charger to keep and maintain batteries that do not get drained that often, the ProSport 8 model is the sweet spot for the money. No need to get something that charges quicker. The 8 does the job!

Great charger. 4 years and counting
I bought this charger in Feb 2019 and it's still working flawlessly. It has extened my boat batteries life more than I expected. Highly recommended. Only surprise is that the price of this charger is not $60 more than what I paid for it 2019. Guess inflation is real afterall.

Plug this thing in and relax!
This charger is great! My boat has two batteries, one for starting and one for the trolling motor. Before I bought this I used a portable charger that I bought at Wal Mart. Don't get me wrong, the charger worked ok but I got tired of having to with it from one battery to the other and there was no way to leave the charger attached to the batteries so that the condition of them and charge levels would be maintained. That's why I bought this charger. It was easy to install in my boat with a little planning and giddyup...I just plug it in and it charges and then maintains the batteries until I go out on the water again. I love it!

Just what I needed
I have a 18' center console skiff, To charge the batteries I had to remove them from under the console which was a pain, The pro Mariner charger was so small that it easily fit in the console, Now when I get back from a trip I just plug in the charger and I know the batteries will be ready for the next trip no more worries about weak batteries. Installation was a cinch and the charger works perfectly.

Works great
Bought this to keep the batteries charged on my boat since it was too much hassle to keep the batteries charged with a standard trickle charger and not good for them to go dead. Only problem was finding a good spot to mount it, but install was easy outside of that. Product works great and have had no issues with dead batteries since I started using it.

4 1/2 years and still working flawlessly
I installed this on my Aluminum boat to charge 2 Deep cycle Lead Acid trolling motor batteries. They were wired in a series for 24v. I kept the charger on my boat 24/7 between uses and it kept them alive for almost 5 years. I have some cheaper batteries that came with the boat. One of the batteries got 5 years of life and the other is still holding 12.8+volts, excellent for Lead acid batteries that got tons of use.

Good value, but not high function
I bought this charger for a 24v battery bank that runs a bow thruster and nothing else. It was the only low priced charger that said it could charge a 24v battery. However, it's 24v mode really means that you connect the leads to each two 12v batteries connected in series. If you have a 24v battery that has internal connections, this charger won't work. The item is meant to be plugged in to a 110v outlet, rather than directly wired into the boat's shore power panel.I called ProMariner customer service for instructions and they were very good, although you have to call the main number, not the direct customer service line on the device to actually talk to a person. They recommended going with a real 24v charger, but the recommended item is over $500 and more than I wanted to spend for the small battery I am charging. ProMariner said this charger is meant for small fishing boats. It took about 6 hours to bring the dead flat (6v measured) battery up to a little over 24v, very reasonable. The battery is somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 to 50 amp-hours - read small.

Solidly built unit with useful features. Easy to install.
I'm very satisfied with this so far. It installed nicely to the inner wall of the boat. The lights are very helpful indicators of charging status. The cables are very long with terminals on the ends that attach to the battery screen posts. I feel the monthly conditioning cycle is a great feature.
