Review: The perfect mat for me - I've been on a mission these last few months to find the perfect yoga mat for me, and this Gaiam is the one I keep coming back to. It's not the most expensive mat out there, but it's not exactly cheap, either. It has a really nice thickness to it that provides a good amount of cushioning, but I don't sink in or feel my feet slipping during poses. It's sticky, but not too sticky. Most importantly, it doesn't move around on carpet, which is important since the only space I have to practice in my small condo is carpeted. (I tried out a few mats that made me feel like I was trying to balance on a banana peel because they constantly moved on the carpet, so that is something that was very important to me!) It doesn't hurt that this mat is nice to look at. I love all of the colors and find them soothing to look at as I practice. I've only been using the mat for about a month, so I can't speak to durability yet. But I have used it 3 times per week since it arrived and it still looks brand new, so fingers crossed! Overall, I would definitely recommend this mat. In fact, I like it so much I'm tempted to get another one in a different color. Because I like having options to suit my mood. ;-) Review: Great mat for comfort and stability! Over a year and still looks and feels new. - I do all levels and advanced vinyasa yoga. This mat is thick enough that I don’t feel the wooden floors of the studio digging into me, but also thin enough that I don’t have to worry too much about it potentially affecting my balance. I have lupus and have issues with my joints, so I wanted something with a little bit of cushion. I couldn’t find anything reasonable, both size/thickness wise and budget wise. I eventually came across this mat and decided to give it a try. I’ve found that it’s done a lot to help make me feel comfortable and to be confident in my posture and footing. The design is very nice, and even after over a year of regular use, the design is still very visible. I haven’t had any of the mat itself flake or run away and it’s still in one piece. It doesn’t show signs of wear. It’s easy to roll up and carry. It's great about not stretching while you’re using it for yoga (I’ve had mats in the past where my downward dog would become weird looking push-ups). It’s not going to start slipping across the floor. I don’t find my feet slipping, either, but my hands sometimes do (that might be more user error than the mat as I tend to sweat a lot from my hands). One downside would be that, because it’s a bit of a thicker mat, if it’s rolled up for too long or left in a hot car, the edge of the mat where you started the roll might curl upwards. I usually place a block or my phone at the edge and it holds it down without a problem and tends to flatten by the end of class. ## Features - LIGHTWEIGHT & THICK YOGA MAT: These durable, yet lightweight exercise yoga mats are extra thick for the additional cushioning your joints need during any yoga or fitness routine - STICKY NON SLIP TEXTURE: Yoga mat features a textured sticky non slip surface for excellent traction and superior grip and a stylish design to keep you motivated and focused - NON TOXIC & 6P FREE PVC yoga mat is a healthier choice for you and the planet and free of DEHP, DBP, BBP, DINP, DIDP and DNOP - FREE YOGA CLASS: Yoga mat purchase includes a free bonus downloadable yoga workout to help get you started - DIMENSIONS: 68 inches L x 24 inches W x 6 millimeters thick ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07PTNTS3R | | Best Sellers Rank | #883 in Sports & Outdoors ( See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors ) #9 in Yoga Mats | | Brand | Gaiam | | Brand Name | Gaiam | | Color | Metallic Bronze Medallion | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 22,215 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00018713634184 | | Included Components | Yoga Mat | | Item Dimensions L x W x Thickness | 68"L x 24"W x 0.24"Th | | Item Highlight | Premium 6mm Print Mat | Extra-Thick Cushioning | Textured Non-Slip Surface | Yoga, Pilates & Floor Workouts | 68"x24" | | Item Type Name | Gaiam 6mm Premium Yoga Mat | | Manufacturer | Fit For Life | | Material | Polyvinyl Chloride | | Model Number | 05-63281 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Part Number | 05-63281 | | Product Care Instructions | Printed yoga mats release a very strong but harmless odor when first unwrapped. That was my experience. It is especially slippery in downward dog and plank. I've had it for months and it still feels slippery. Other than that, I like the mat very much. **Q: Is this mat made in China?** A: Yes, says right on the packaging. **Q: How to clean the mat?** A: I haven't washed this one yet. But usually I wash my mats in the washer machine with a couple of towels on top so it doesn't float. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The perfect mat for me *by L***E on September 26, 2020* I've been on a mission these last few months to find the perfect yoga mat for me, and this Gaiam is the one I keep coming back to. I use it for stretching and floor work like abs and glutes. It is very sturdy and provides a nice amount of padding. My knees and joints do not hurt while I am using it. The design is beautiful and the colors look exactly like they did online. It has a slightly sticky feel that helps me keep my grip during different poses. I also like how lightweight it is. It is very easy to roll up and move around the house or take with me to a class. This is a quality product for a very good price. ## Frequently Bought Together - Gaiam Yoga Mat - Premium 6mm Print Extra Thick Non Slip Exercise & Fitness Mat for All Types of Yoga, Pilates & Floor Workouts (68"L x 24"W x 6mm Thick) - Yoga Mat Strap Slap Band - Keeps Your Mat Tightly Rolled and Secure, Fits Most Size Mats (20" L x 1.5" W), Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.cy/products/113997520-premium-yoga-mat-6mm-thick-print-mat](https://www.desertcart.com.cy/products/113997520-premium-yoga-mat-6mm-thick-print-mat) --- *Product available on Desertcart Cyprus* *Store origin: CY* *Last updated: 2026-10-16*
