The first one I received was shattered. I returned it and got another one and was anxious to get it installed. Only to be very let down when I realized that you need to buy separate hardware to be able to hardwire this item. Now I have to search for that and wait yet anther week until I can install it.

'C';s review is spot-on. Yes, I feel like I was duped as well, in spite of reading this product description carefully to confirm this unit had everything necessary to go. Nothing in the description indicates that the power cord is not included. The details indicate that the power source is 'corded-electric', which ... for lack of any more detailed description I actually interpreted to mean that it included a cord!

Seems like it might be a good product, but I really can't say since the adapter plug-in cord is not included with it. After re-scouring the listing to locate where this rather important piece of info was noted, I realized that it wasn't. Although it implies that one of the better reasons for purchasing this item includes the existence of the easy-to-use plug in cord, it neglects to mention that you will need to find that cord somewhere else. The box I received after purchasing the product, however, clearly notes that the cord is not included. Thanks guys; awesome. I guess I will keep this lovely unusable light on a dark shelf until I can locate the correct cord that corresponds to this specific product.
