Premium Organic Vegetable & Herb Mix (2 cu. ft.) Promix Soil

The media could not be loaded. This is the second year in a row I have purchased this stuff for my small business florist shop (lilliewild.com). Flowers love this stuff! It is very heavy but that just proves how much dirt is in there. It is extremely easy to use, I will open it up and dump it all into a much larger plastic container with a lid then when I am ready to use I put some of the dirt into a 5 gallon bucket and add water and slowly mix it all together and will add more water when needed. 100% worth the price tag, I will be purchasing again.

I was buying this every year at my local Menards. Last year they quit selling it, but I had bought several bags at the end of the season. I made another layer on my raised beds, so I needed to get more potting soil to raise the level. I looked here, on Amazon and saw that it had more than doubled in price! I decided to see if I could buy something different, that could be as good. My garden did horribly last year. I saw this at a reasonable price and bought it. I recently saw that it was even cheaper so I put that bag in my cart to buy on payday. Well today was payday and the price is again the ridiculously high amount. At least I can give my seeds a good start. I refuse to pay forty some dollars for this! It's the best but I can't do it!

Pro-mix is one of the early mixes that had no soil in the mix. It is well known known by growers all over the country of its quality. I taught horticulture science for many years, and pro+mix was my preferred brand Each bale is uniformly mixed. This mix now contains mycorrizhea bacteria. This helps the mix to aid in sending nutrition into the plant. Pro-mix is a .compressed bale. It includes starter fertilizer.too.

The bag was heavier then it needed to be the dirt was wet inside. Doesn't work the best for mini soil blocking due to some large twigs. Also I know it's just a Amazon price thing but I asked my husband for dirt for Christmas I put it in the cart so he just had to press buy. From the time I put it in and when he bought it (1 day I think) the price went up 🤦‍♀️ if I would have known before he bought it I would have told him to wait and I could get it at a local box store for less.

This gets delivered to the school for our vegetable garden transplant program. The children use it, other teachers use it. The plants grow well. The price is great.

This is one of the best professional grade gardening soils there is. Surprise they were able to fit so much in this package. Great deal and quality

I don’t know what Lucille B bought but it definitely wasn’t any type of Pro Mix. There is not a single stick or piece of forest material in it. There is peat moss (75%) peat humus, compost, perlite, gypsum, limestone and organic fertilizer. It is 100% uniform throughout and looks like finely ground peat moss with lots of perlite-nothing else is visible: period. I have used 4 different varieties of Pro Mix and it all looks exactly the same. It is dryer than most potting mix because it is meant to be a base for building your own type of soil, but can be used to grow container plants exactly as is like I do. There is no better potting mix, especially for starting seeds and seedlings, and other container plants. I grow mostly tomatoes, peppers, and squash and it has given me the best results ever. If you want a mix full of forest material that would be Miracle Gro.
