Urge Basics UG-SNDBRCKRED Soundbrick Ultra Portable Bluetooth Stereo Speaker with Built-in Mic - Retail Packaging - Red

I've been looking for a small speaker for my Kindle Fire HD, since most of my music is now digital. I listen to my music through a Bluetooth sound bar in my living room, through my kick ass computer speakers at home and work, or by connecting wireless headphones. But, I wanted a sound brick to use on trips and when BBQing outside on the patio. So, I've been to trying to find one that I liked. I've been looking at Brookstone, Best Buy, Target, and those electronic stores in airports looking for a great speaker at an affordable price. I discovered that there are some great speakers in the $100-150 range; I just thought that was a lot of money for what I'd use it for.And then, I was surfing on Amazon and discovered the great reviews on this little speaker. At just under $40, I bought it knowing I could return it with Amazon's awesome return policy. It arrived in the mail today. Wow! Seriously, the sound in this speaker is incredible, decently loud, and clear. The unit itself is tiny at approx 7" long x 2" tall x 2" deep. It's available in several colors. The buttons are simple and easy to operate.I only have a minor gripe and you should be aware of it. When charging your speaker, the light will not turn green as the instructions say, it will remain red. You just need to remember that it takes 3 hours to recharge your speaker. I found a reviewer on Youtube who contacted the Urge speaker folks and they said it was an error in the instruction manual and it shouldn't say that the light turns green. Also, there is a flashing blue light that pulses twice as long as the unit is on. These are the only minor annoyances.For the price, this product cannot be beat. For the sound, it rivals far more expensive units. I don't think you can possible go wrong purchasing this speaker AND it's affordable enough to buy it as a back up to your fancier bluetooth speakers.

I purchased this great little speaker for myself after receiving an Amazon gift card for Christmas. I can't believe how much I got for $35! The speaker came already charged & I had it playing in just a few seconds! It effortlessly synched via Bluetooth with my tablet as well as my phone, which is exactly what I wanted. The speaker is relatively small, but has a nice weight to it. I played Pandora yesterday for well over 8 hours & it's still going off a single charge. The sound is exceptional for a speaker this size. Every song sounded amazing! I love that I can easily take it with me from room to room as I clean or throw it in my bag & take it with me. I researched hundreds of these speakers before choosing the Soundbrick & I am so pleased I did! Great product at a great price!

I spent $39.99 with amazon prime free shipping. This little guy fills up kitchen while I'm cooking and the other one fills my bedroom while I get ready for work every morning. I've tried to Jambox before and the bass is much deeper than these Urge Basics. This is a good basic, clear, functional, and meet my many needs in the house and on the beach. And and for $40 bucks, worth every penny!! Oh and I got 3 of them, 2 for me and 1 for the mrs.

I ran into a buddy that had one of these on his dashboard ... seemed cool, so I bought one to use in my MGA, When I first cranked it up in the garage, it seemed pretty loud. However, going 70 MPH in the MGA with the top down, it's pretty hard to hear. It's louder than the speakers in my Iphone, but I should have passed on this guy and just used my headset that came with the phone.

It's pretty nice. Not too good but not too bad either. The volume can be unclear at times and the level of loudness sometimes are inconsistent. I use mine in the car because my old car doesn't have a stereo. The soundbrick doesn't have the skip or back button

I wanted to give it some time before giving feedback on this item because it is one of those things that seem to function beautifully in the beginning, and then give out in a bit of time. It is still working loudly and beautifully. I just wish that I had a special case to transport this beauty...

This little speaker was really rad, super portable and the battery lasted for a good amount of time. Then one day it just stopped charging- I tried different cables and everything but the charging light wouldnt come on...it just died out and never came on again! So it was good for the three months it was working...

I paid $40 for this beauty when it was on sale. It works great! Don;t let the small size fool you. I have used it in a big room with a dozen folks talking and the music was loud enough with very little distortion. (I use it with my Iphone). Not sure it it's worth the extra cost at its regular price of nealry $60. I also use it when I watch movies on my Ipad as the sound is so much better (and louder) than the Ipad's built-in speaker.
