These are only carbon steel so cannot cut anything too hard. I was initially a bit concerned as the advert say it’s not recommended for hardwood, however, I have used on 12mm hardwood plywood and it cut just fine (I used light pressure as I was using the 6” diameter cutter).In fact I was quite impressed how sharp and usable such an inexpensive set was.

Great product for the price, only need to use it once to cut my ceiling replace 2 ceiling light to spot.Above my ceilings there were wood battens (studs) quite thick unknown to me and it cut through no problem. Good package container to keep things together. Good tools to have in shed for any DIYer. One less star as my size requirement was not there but used next size up.

Sending back for refund, awful quality, metal chewed up pithing a couple of minutes even though only cutting 5mm T&G softwood. Snagged, then chewed up mount and core drill. Made from VERY poor grade metal. I can't recommend this in any way.

Really liked the product and I think that it is a good piece of product to help you with DIY work specifically with wood. I have attached it to my cordless drill and I have had no problems with cutting through the table where I want wires to go through.

Went through my barn walls like butter, they are super sharp. Also nice packaging including an Alan Key and a thin coat of anti corrosion oil to keep them in good order.

A great product, with lots of different sizes to choose from, I've already but it to good use by installing large down lights using the largest saw in the pack 152mm. I used the saw with a cordless drill on a slow speed, it cut through the wood with ease, and cut a very clean hole.
