The material it is made of makes a big difference on the suction. I bought a different brand and it was stiffer. The travel was limited. This is more pliable and seals against the pool surface which is coarse Pebble-Tech plaster. I have bought this 3 times

I was skeptical reading some of the negative reviews, but this works way better than the original. I bought the original about 2 years ago, and since I live in the desert, the sun took a toll on the original seal. It was no longer climbing walls and it was just floating around sometimes when it was trying to vacuum the bottom. This seal makes a much better contact with the surface and it climbs walls with ease. It comes folded, but as others mentioned just leave it in the sun for an hour and it will be completely flat. Will buy again for sure!

This is the second replacement "skirt" I have purchased for a Kreepy Krauly. The last one outlasted the old pool cleaner. This one might outlast the new one, as it is made of sturdier material than the original.As others commented here, it arrived folded in quarters. So it needed time for the creases in the rubber to relax. Here's my tip: Soak in hot tap water and/or leave out in the sun for a day or two.When installing, you need to remove the "foot pad". In cool weather the plastic can be quite stiff. Here again, a soak in hot tap water can make it more pliant and much easier to replace.My pool cleaner is humming along once again.

Today is the first day in operation and it works flawlessly as if it were OEM. After I removed it from the packaging and unfolded it, I laid it on the hot rub cover during the heat of the day (95°)for less than 2 hours. It was perfectly flat and I installed with little effort. We’ll see how it holds up, but so far I’m impressed!

Replaced my worn out pleated seal on my Pentair Kreepy Krauly.Easy to get on. Seems like it will last better. Color turquoise is nicer.

I have purchased several of these 10 plus over 20 years so I'm VERY familiar with them and I have NEVER had one shipped to me folded up in half and folded in half again in a box anyone purchasing one of these knows that the pad needs to be flat in order to work. I contacted the seller who said "we have been shipping the product folded in an inner box for years. The seal is flexible and has no memory. You can put the seal on the concrete slab surface like concrete pool deck or driveway under the hot sun ( such as around noon time) for 2 hours. It will turn flat." HA NOT I placed it out on the deck in direct sunlight for 3 straight days with temperatures in the 80's each of those days and as you can see from the pictures it is anything but flat so NO it didn't "turn flat" and I would say it has plenty of "memory" since it has creases and bends making it worthless. Every single one I have ordered in the past has been shipped flat, it should be noted that (Pool Supply Town) was the seller om my item purchase from someone else. I don't care they say they have shipped it this way for years and had no issues the pictures clearly show it is an issue.

While it looks and installs like the original, and the price is good, the seal is warped and does not lay flat on the pool surface so the vacuum pickup efficiency is not very good. It’s been in the pool for 5 days now, with 88 degree water. Still warped. I’ve noticed the HUGE mark up in price for these seals (used to be $15-$20, now they are close to $100) which is ridiculous. I plan on purchasing a different brand automatic pool vac in the future, as it does not make sense to spend that kind of money on replacement parts. Kreepy Krauly has been great over the years, but price gouging on replacement parts is quite disappointing.

I needed to buy another Pleated Seal for our pool cleaner and I did not want to pay $161.00 from the pool cleaner company. So I searched and found this one for $34.81. I ordered it, came before it was expected, I installed it in less than 10 minutes, (I'm 80 years old with weak fingers) perfect fit, and works "like a charm". In fact, it moves twice as fast as the one I removed and cleans the bottom and sides of the pool extremely well. Granted the old seal was about 10 years old (the unit is 20 years old). I would recommend this product to anyone who needs a Pleated Seal and the price is a "real deal".

Perfect replacement. Wasn’t sure what the quality would be like but it’s practically identical to the original one. No issues, installed in minutes and performing well.

As others stated, it does arrive folded. I put in the sun for a few days for the creases to flatten out. Also it has a strong smell so best to open the box outside. It was a perfect fit for my ez-vac and cleaned my inground pool with no issues.

Great value. Just as good as $180. Manufacturers product. I highly recommend this product.
