Midrange, not what I had hoped for
I saw all the rave reviews and the photo made these towels look exceptionally plush, just what I had been looking for. I saw one review that reported surprise at all the rave reviews and found the towels disappointing. I guess it depends on how particular you are but I agree with the latter reviewer. These towels are better than the bulk Walmart type (they should be for the cost!) but they are not the luxurious high end towel you might be expecting. The "silk" binding is really cheap looking and the stitching looks like the mass produced product that this is. They are not as plush as the photo suggests. If you are just looking for a thicker towel that is better than most you'll be happy with them. However, I am extremely particular about my detailing supplies and if that describes you then pass on these towels and find something else. I have a large towel from Griot (with pockets) that is a bit of a pain to use but the quality is absolutely there (the towel cost about $25). I find that the reviewers at Amazon often provide great info and I'll be looking at other reviews to find leads on the high end towels I'm looking for. I've ordered some standard sized towels from Griot and will report on those after the arrive. Hope this helps.Update July 9 2013. I received Griot towels the other day (blue, about the same price as these) and they are MUCH better. There is some lint but it shakes off easily and prewashing is not required. The Griot towels are what you are looking for if you want the Porsche of detailing towels.

Nice and plush!
I bought some less expensive microfiber towels to use around the house for general cleaning and polishing. I was a bit disappointed because they didn't feel as if they absorbed water well, and were pretty thin.I read about these while contemplating re-waxing the car. The reviews were very good, and I decided to order a few to test them out and compare them to the stack I'd bought of cheaper, Brand X towels. Vive la différence! I could feel the difference as soon as I put my hand in the bag. These were larger, thicker, and juicier. Much more substantial in the hand, and on the job. They were great for washing, drying, and buffing the car (I used Brand X to apply the wax). I'd wager they're much better for just about any job where you need a nice, thick towel. Good size for cleaning. My Brand X are decidedly small for many jobs. These cost more, but worth it if you need more than a rag.

Just OK, Picture is Deceiving.
This is not what I thought they would be. The picture makes these look very plush; however, the package I received seems like they are like every other Microfiber Towel. I am a bit disappointed in the picture and marketing. In fact, I don't see much of a difference from the other Microfiber towels I picked up in the same order from Chemical Guys (MIC_506_12), other than the edges. Save the money and get the 12 pack of the 16x16 towels by CG. I would rate lower, but these will do the job at least.

Good but nothing like Dura Gloss ones
In my opinion and from what I've tried (Which is a lot) I consider Dura Gloss brand microfiber towels to be the absolute best. They seem thirstier than these, probably because they have two layers sewn together which makes them thicker also. The silk edging is nice as is the color on these. Not a bad product by any means.

good but not as soft
these towels are a good size and the silk edges are nice in protecting against scratches. However, the cloth itself is not as soft as other micro fiber towels. i used it slightly to wife off some detailing solution off my bumper and notice that it may be creating clear coat scratches. i will only be using these towels for windows.

Picture a bit misleading
The towels are not as thick as the picture leads you to believe. They work fairly well until they get just a little wet. After that, absorption suffers and they don't do the job. For the initial drying of a wet car, they won't work. For final touch up they work fine. They didn't shed and they do appear to be well made.

Good for Intended use
These are small towels, not what I thought they were. I was expecting to use them as foot towels for standing on straight out the shower. That's why I liked the "extreme thickness". I didn't realize they were small and likely intended for the use of drying a car.

Excellent Microfiber Towel
I have purchased several different microfiber towels and these are by far the best. Good size at 16x16. They are very soft and plush. I use this towel for all detailing work on my car (except for final buffing for which I use the Eurow super plush 660 GSM microfiber towel - also available at Amazon). I tear out the small tag, leaving just the towel and silk edging for a soft and no scratch towel.
