We took delivery of our 01 Tribute in 2000. I thought this was it when we struggled to get over 30mph and started blowing EGR valves. I took care of the blocked catalyst but the engine was still running rough.I took the plunge and got a full set of coils, these NGK spark plugs, intake manifold upper & lower gasket set and PCV valve. I was surprised at the mixed reviews of quality and results of a different major brand of plug I like. NGK have been around and the reviews are consistently clearly positive in subtle meaningful ways. So I gave them an opportunity to prove their worth.After tightening the vapor chamber bolts, reinforcing the leaky PCV tubing and replacing the mentioned parts, came the moment of truth.I could not believe the difference. So smooth, extremely eager to go and pulls better than ever. The long term fuel trims are now neutral or balanced around zero instead of dumping in extra fuel. Instead of 100 miles per tank (when limping) we are getting well over 200 miles and better than we have seen in the last two decades.Now my wife needs to be careful to keep below 80 when on the highway purring at 2000 rpm. The transmission and engine now feel good together with firm smooth but eager response.I suspect these plugs will last the rest of the vehicle life, however long that will be. The important thing is the quality of life is very good at this point.

Fits my 2003 Buick Regal LS like a glove. I've used OEM ACDelco plugs, which were great. I've used Denso (Toyota) spark plugs, which were GARBAGE on my vehicle. And I've used these NGK Iridium IX (Part# 7164). Let me tell you, these are what you need to get the most out of your driving experience! I want to go on a road trip every time I get in my car! NGK is my go-to from now on. My only regret is that while I am using NGK plugs, I still decided to stick with the standard Federal brand wires. I imagine my driving experience would be even better if I opted for premium NGK wires with these plugs! But excellent part that is very compatible with my car! The absolute best choice for a DIY'er! NGK or ACDelco, it's most definitely worth every penny!

I love that these plugs are priced so well, and that they were perfectly matched to my V6 application. These went into a Buick 3500, which is mounted transverse in a front wheel drive. It is so difficult to reach the rear-side plugs that I chose to also replace the plug wires while I had the engine rolled forward. It was a pain, and I did not want to do it twice, so I got the best plugs and GM genuine wires. This is my favorite spark plug.
