Adagio Teas Loose Leaf Tea Infuser IngenuiTEA 2 Tea Maker - 450ml

Really pleased with this loose tea infuser! It is a perfect size for a couple of smaller cups of tea and is lovely to be able to see the colour of the tea to determine the strength. It is circular at the bottom to go over most cups/mugs up to 9.5cm but the top is oval shaped with a hinged lid (see photos). No instructions come with it but it is very simple to use. Lift the lid, add 1x heaped teaspoon loose leaf tea, leave to brew. When ready, place over a mug and allow to rest on the top of the mug. The tea (minus the leaves) will flow out into the mug. Exactly what I wanted and does not leak. Also comes with 11g sample of masala chai tea from adagio teas which I look forward to trying!

I bought this one to replaced a well served and broken after many years T2 pot. I think this one is better, works flawlessly, feels good quality and stays clean after a few months of brewing. The silicon seems fine too - I had not dripping at all.

Innovative. Wife enjoyed using it for tea and various infusions (until she dropped on marble floor!)

Only one criticism. The measurements on the side of the old version have gone. I'd prefer to keep them.

This infuser not only pulls the water through the leaves but perfectly strains it, no more gritty bits in the bottom of your mug, the tea is perfect from 1st to last mouthful.To clean the lid easily lift the lid, tap out the leaves swill wash and your done.

These are an ingenious design. I usually put a double spoon full in my first cup from this device. You can clearly see how much is in it and the colour of the tea before decanting. The lid is a good size so there's never any issue putting tea leaves in.Pouring is a really pleasant feature. Set it on top of the mug and the tea comes out and never a leaf in sight.Cleaning is where it comes into it's own. Emptying the used leaves out can be done in a few seconds and a rinse and/or wipe with some kitchen roll and it's good as new. The lid is removable if you feel you need to take it away for cleaning.The little base to stand it on is a nice addition. It doesn't leak but after dispensing tea sometimes there's a drop or two still on the base so it stops it dropping into your counters.

So easy to use and clean!

The mug is quite narrow making removing the filter a little tricky, other than that it a grerat choice when making tea.
