Peter is amazing
If you like ink lines, these are definitely a whole lot of lines.Look up Peter Draws on YouTube. He's really a delight. Maybe we're a weird bunch of people but there are a lot of us who love watching him.

It would have been nice to have seen it
So, I want to rate this 5 stars, I really do. I just can't. If I had known that the book was 6" x 9", I probably wouldn't have bought it at all.Yes, it's there, if you scroll WAY to the bottom of the description. It would have been nice to have seen it....oh, I don't know...maybe...In the TITLE of the book itself?Ah, well. I love Peter's art. His videos on Youtube.com are mesmerizing. I am not a person who draws, but I *AM* a person who colors. My hope was to be able to color some of his fabulous artwork. No dice. I prefer Prismacolor colored pencils and unless I'[m sharpening my pencils every two strokes, there are quite a few drawings in this book that are impractical (although, TECHNICALLY possible) to color.I'll probably end up e-mailing him to see if I can buy/collaborate/whatever with him on one of his drawings. In all though, I'm not disturbed that I spent the money. I'm glad that I could support an artist in his craft.

Five Stars
I'm posting my review of one of his other books here as well.It all applies. You can find this guy on YouTube as "Peter Draws".I have watched this guy on YouTube (Peter Draws) and been amazed .The content is great just like "A Line of Thought", its the book production problems that lessen the rating. If you want to color in these books (and they are touted as coloring books):its printed on BOTH sides of the paper, color one side mess up the reverseall 3 books suffer from paper that really can't handle anything but pencils without bleed thru, feathering, etc.Its best for coloring to copy a page to Rhodia paper, then have at.Why would a publisher make a coloring book printed on BOTH sides and on crumby paper?I'll bet an MBA is at the root of the problem and both he and the editor (if there is such a thing for a coloring book) don't understand anything about the adult coloring activity.Anyway, content is great and if you understand the production issuess and work around them, it's a great buy.

Peter Draws - great book of creativity and encouragement
I love this book by Peter Deligdisch. I first saw his drawings on U-Tube and fell in love with his creativity. Line of Thought is mostly his drawings with quotes from him which are introspective and encouraging. The opening page says: Stay Calm & Drive Lines. I have found that to be true; letting my creativity take over with pen on paper, without design as to what the result should be, is quite relaxing and spiritual in a way. There is a drawing technique earmarked "Zen Tangling" by others, and I think about the Zen part of that label. It is Zen like; step out of space and time; let your soul go; create; DRAW LINES. Amazing result really; & the result is the feeling more than the product. I love this book. I ended up coloring all the drawings with colored pencils. I also bought his coloring books "Between the Lines". I LOVE HIS CREATIVITY AND DRAWINGS. I love working with them, ie adding color. Very detailed; challenging. I love them.

Inspiring, with a few insightful journal entries.
I think it's a good quality paperback; it isn't mass-market qualtiy. The pages are very white, there's no bleed-through as one customer mentioned. What they may be talking about is the fact that you can see the image on the other side of the current drawing you're looking at, but it's barely noticeable. For me, it's not enough to downgrade the book over. Paying attention to the details of the drawings is the point of the book. It IS inspiring to look at his drawings. I do more curves, flowers, and paisleys and I'm encouraged to break out of that into drawing more straight-line motifs and to try to fill in with different fill-patterns when looking through Peter's drawings. I especially like is journal entries that accompanies some of his work.

Sadly Dissapointed
I watch Peter Draws on YouTube and often draw zentangles as he talks. I ordered his book but was dissapointed at the quality. The pictures are much smaller than I hoped for and the clarity was poor, some pictures not centered on page either. Also the pages were thin and there was a great amount of bleed-through. I still watch Peters Youtube channel, but probably won't buy another book of his. Sorry, but I wish I could have given a better review, because I do like Peter and the drawings he shows on Youtube.:(

The art is very beautiful but no quality control
As someone else has said, there doesn't appear to been any quality control involved in this book. You can see the edges of some of the scans (which would have been super easy to crop out with editing software). The paper quality isn't the best, but that didn't bother me so much as the obvious lack of editing of the pieces. It really does look like the raw scans of these drawings, and that really hurts the overall presentation of the art. And while most of the pieces were beautiful and intricate, I felt that a few of them weren't really good enough to be included in this book.

Everything a book should be!
Simply put, this book does not disappoint.Having watched the youtube videos looking through the pages of this book you can almost hear Peter talking you through the illustrations. It is truly a pleasure and an honour to flick through a small snippet of his mind and lose yourself to a world of lines! And if you draw yourself, rather than leaving you feeling inadequate it inspires you and takes you to a place in your mind you didn't know existed! An absolute pleasure, I cannot wait for a second one!

Interesting and thought provoking
This book is a really good purchase for anyone interested in art/illustration. Filled with lots of intricate doodles and thought provoking sayings it's as though Peter created this book to 'think out loud'. Glad I bought it, going to spend a good bit of time looking through, hopefully it will give me some inspirational drawing ideas.

Line of Thought
This book is perfect for anyone seeking inspiration for their own drawings. It has helped me to no end with my own drawings, and I would heartily recommend it to anyone. Even if you don't intend to draw, this book allows you to just sit and stare for hours, and marvel at the complexity and beauty.I would give this 9001/10 if I could, good job Peter!
