My Goodman furnace is about 6 years old and I have replaced this flame sensor twice now. A rental that we own has the same furnace and that sensor went bad twice also. On the first failure at the rental a service guy had to be called as I was away. He simply cleaned the tip and that fixed the problem but the repair didn't last a year. At the price of these units I ordered 4 to fix and have spares. It's easy to change but I wonder if all makes of furnaces have the same breakdown stats or is it just Goodman?
