King KP1210 1000-Watt 120-Volt 4-Foot Portable Baseboard Heater, Bright White

I put this under my 70" bedroom window. It's quiet and works great. I read some reviews about them producing weird smells at first, but I didn't experience that. I did put it on my back patio and run it for an hour first, but I really didn't smell anything. I put it on a Smart Plug that I could control with my phone so that it comes on an hour before we go to bed, and then again an hour before we wake up in the morning. Works like a charm and makes our cold bedroom comfortable again!

Mainly purchased to satisfy “thermostatically controlled heat source” requirement; however, it has only a dial without temperatures…so not technically “thermostatically” controlled. Depends on the inspector…provides adequate heating.

Mfg makes crap product. no packaging around product just shipped in a box. 1st one was damaged and returned. the 2nd replacement product was lost by UPS. 3 attempt was damaged also, plastic leg was sticking through the box one side of the leg was broken off and thermostat was dented but surprise this unit actually had an on/off switch (how nice) The 3rd one seems to heat up but so did the 2nd one for one night. I would not suggest buying from this manufacturer

It's fantastic, we love it, it was just what we needed to supplement the heat in our bedroom which has two exterior walls and just doesn't stay as warm as the rest of our apartment. Especially since our heat is landlord controlled. My only complaint is it sometimes emits a high pitched peep when it is on (it turns on and off automatically based on the thermostat, and makes a distinct click noise when it switches on, which doesn't bother me at all) - but this is a recent development and doesn't happen every time. My husband and I are both very sensitive to these kinds of noises, but we sleep through it most of the time. Highly recommend.

I purchased this heater early in January, 2014, to place under a north-facing drafty window in a bedroom. The first heater I received was dented at one end and one of the feet was broken off; I contacted Amazon, who send me another immediately. The second one works well and does what I want - which is keep the bedroom a bit warmer. It is taller and bulkier than I had hoped. I have older Berko and Sears heaters that are more discrete. The heavy electrical cord is at the wrong end of the heater for my space and not long enough to plug into the wall socket. I added a surge protector, extending the length a few feet. I don't feel very secure about this, so I check it often.

I've used one just like this for 12 years in my little shop.It worked great. Still working but seemed to be working harder than it used to.I replaced it with one made by the same manufacturer.This heater raises my power bill by 20 to 30 dollars a month in the winter time.I've seen ones that cost much more so I'm pretty happy with this means to heat a good sized space.

I've had this heater over a week now, and it works well. It's very simple, and appears durable and sturdy. The front panels are removeable for cleaning, and one slid during shipping but was easy enough to slide back into place. Despite being metal, the top panel, although hot, was not hot enough to burn myself on after the heater had been on 15 minutes.However, at 1000 watts, its not the strongest heater you can get and takes a bit of time to heat larger rooms.

We bought three of these and had two fail in just days. The first started throwing sparks onto our carpet floor the same day we first used it. The second continuously trips breakers. These are the worst source of heat we have ever purchased. The one that does work heats less than our much smaller space heater. I also found the shielding to get hotter than other space heaters. We will be looking to return.

I use it for a 120 square foot well insulated room on half and it’s like a sauna in there. Works great.

This is a solidly made and good looking unit, but if it gets knocked over there is no safety cutout - a major fire hazard on flammable surfaces like rugs. Also there are no temperature reference marks, you have no idea where your favourite setting is, or how far it needs to rotate to change temperature by a degree.

I used this product for my cabin. It is 12x20 and heats it up very nice. No noise. No smell after running it for a bit in the beginning as recommended. Two of these heaters will heat my cabin in -25 temp.

Bought 2 of these.One arrived in finbe condidition, the other arrived a day later in a Damaged box, and the unit's control knob and plastic feet were broken off.Replacement unit arrived today ... guess what... almost identical damage to the box and unit. So I requested a full refund.The undamaged product works fine, but the manufacturer's box is not adequately protected for shipping purposes.

The unit arrived as promised and worked as advertised.
