East Side Collection Polyester First Lady Gingham Dog Trench Coat, Large, 20-Inch, Black

I'd actually give this 3.5 stars, if I could, but what the heck. Firstly, it's a nice cotton fabric with polyester partial lining. The cotton is not stiff or heavy, though, and it's definitely not waterproof. It will probably come with some uncut threads to trim, but it appears to be pretty well made for the amount of money you spent on it (I'm a master seamstress, so I am particularly finicky about clothing construction). The underbelly area doesn't line up nice and flat, but rather kind of looks uneven. The velcro closures don't line up perfectly but, hey, those are under the dog, so no biggy.So, I ordered these for my two adopted 1 1/2-year-old Pomeranian sisters who are 7.5lbs and 8lbs, respectively. I wanted it to look chic on them, but not be too big that their arms would come out or they'd trip, obviously. Based on the size chart and other feedback here, I purchased a SMALL for the smaller dog, and a MEDIUM for the other.I really wish I'd sized up one or two sizes. These fit them snugly, which makes the back tail of the coat stay close to the body, which makes it look more like a jumper or onesie or something. It doesn't fit like the coat on the Yorkie in the picture. If you want that, though, I'd order up a size or maybe even two, since, surprisingly, I cannot really see a size difference to speak of between the small and the medium (Maybe I got a mislabeled one?). I tried the medium on the dog for whom I purchased the small, and it didn't make a difference--it was still snug and still didn't fit well. In hind site, I probably would have ordered a LARGE and EXTRA LARGE, respectively.Having said that, I still think it's a great deal for the cost. I'm probably going to spray some of this  Starbrite Waterproofing & Fabric Treatment  on them to waterproof them, though I'm not sure what good it will do, since it doesn't really cover them enough to make a difference.For your reference:My 7.5lb dog has the following measurements: Neck: 9"; Chest: 14"; Length of back: 9.5".My 8 lb. dog has the following: Neck: 10.25" Chest: 15.5" Length of Back: 9.5".

I really loved the picture of this coat. It fits and is well made. I had to snip a few flyaway threads but nothing awful. My only complaint is that it is a little stiff which made my dog walk a little stiff. I'm sure once I give it a nice cold wash it will be fine but if you are looking for something super warm and fluffy this may not be the coat for you.

This fits perfectly and looks great on my dog, Stitch. What I love about East Side Collection is that it is true to size and to help with that they list breeds that fit the size. So far hands down ESC is my favorite go to when purchasing clothes for Stitch.

This jacket looks adorable on and seems to be well made. My only complaint is that the neck is really wide so it hangs a bit on my toy poodle.

It sure looks amazing online and at home, but it is heavy for tiny dogs and also undersized. I ordered a small, and it fit like an extra small. The buttons attract a dog to bite them. The buttons won't last on long! It is tight, heavy...I don't recommend it for small breeds. I will return it.

I got this for my 12lb chinese chrested/shih tzu mix and it looks adorable on her. It's a little big but I haven't washed it yet. So cute for a great price!

This product shipped quickly, and is of good make, however, it was a little bigger than anticipated. It is not too heavy or thick, just right. Adorable!
