Q: how many clips do i need for 275 feet of cable?

You would need to use our Heat Tape Calculator on our website to determine how many clips you would need and the precise length. Generally you would need 3 clips every 2ft of roof eave. 2x clips on the S-5 mounting base when placed low and 1x clip on the mounting base placed high with the triangle/wave pattern. Please refer to our Heat Tape Pro manual for further elaboration on how the product is installed which can also be found on our website.
