Fitted this to a VW T6.1 California.The existing bolts being a newish vehicle was easy to loosen.With them both loose the right hand one can be withdrawn.Fitted in minutes.The red bracket needs to be held in place whilst attaching the new tri- lock bolt.The tri- lock bolt comes in a pack with a box spanner. I didn’t use this.The bolt has a thin aluminium hexagonal head (confusing at first glance) that requires removal before attaching the socket to the bolt.Don’t discard the included paper leaflet as it has the socket key number required for replacement if lost.The screw threads and length match the existing bolt.Recommendation for the threads to be lubed which is a good idea given the close proximity to the road.The red bracket needs to be held in position whilst tightening the bolt.It is a bright red powder coated finish strong bracket.There is a black plastic nut presumably to cover the bolt head.I’m not going to use this as it is going to be difficult to remove if I need a spare in the pouring rain.

Does Not Fit Correctly
T6 - 2019 - The Spareafe did not fit correct - I had to use washers to make up the space between the spare wheel holder and the Sparesafe! Otherwise a great idea to deter thefts!

Box spanner poor condition
Box spanner - chromium plating coming off , item all pittedWould like replacement box spanner - other items fine

expensive, especially when shipped to Germany but no alternative available here...
Installed and hoping that it will do its job. It should. I have no idea why the box a bolt came in is from different company and parts all together. Not professional.
