After years of fighting dandelions in my yard - seems I've taken the opposite turn after finding out how many health benefits there are to them. I still cannot believe I actually bought seeds for one of my biggest lawn adversaries, but here we are. These seeds looked great upon arrival and immediately went into my seed starter. It's taken close to a week to get sprouts but they are up a little. I can't say for sure with how tiny the seeds are the ratio of one sprouted. But each container has a decent amount coming up so definitely pleased. I plan to baby them inside and eventually move into a dedicated bed. Meanwhile yes I do have wild ones popping up already in the yard. If these grow anywhere nearly as well as those - it will be a huge success and so far I think they will be.

I’m not sure what they taste like, since I volunteer at a zoo and I’m growing for the animals. Dandelions are needed for many diets and hard to find fresh ones. So, thank you for helping them, having seeds available at a reasonable rate.

These are great. I planted one batch sometime I April and they sprouted maybe one week later. Lots of sun and plenty of water. A little slow to grow at first, but then they took off. Just planted a second batch in a different location in June and these sprouted in 1 to 2 days!Haven’t tried any myself but my desert tortoise loves them. They are also a good sacrificial plant to draw bugs away from other plants, like vegetables.

This is a great little company. I cannot always find the red stemmed dandelion seed and I was so happy to discover them on Amazon with this seller. These are tasty and have a nice flavor. The are easy to grow, and bolt resistant. I have been ordering every year from Seed Needs. They send me a generous supply of seed in their packets, and the seed germinates quickly. I have had the best harvests all summer with The Garnet Stemmed Dandelions I plant, and I like this company better than some of the bigger suppliers. They ship promptly and their prices are reasonable. As a person with Italian heritage, I put these dandelions in salads, and my green smoothies every morning. I also cook them as greens as a side dish and in soups. A delicious, nutritious red stemmed beautiful dandelion green that I enjoy right up until November. I am so glad I found Seed Needs. I will continue to buy from them.

This has been such a frustrating endeavor. I can't get these things to grow past sprouts. I have them planted in the ground, in pots, in beds, in the sun, in the shade. I started some of them in starters inside. They eagerly sprouted and grew into sprouts but after that they've just stayed the same. I have dandeliions growing wild all over my yard but these suckers just won't grow. I had such high hopes for these. Dandelion is so nutritious. Guess I'll try another company, and keep eating the ones in my yard :(

These seeds are shot up right away. I just added the leafs to our salad. Love them.
