I was looking for a book that would go into depth as to how to install a complete solar array on my RV Motorhome. This gave great information but not a single wiring diagram. Overall worth the purchase price as an initial primer.

Easy read and good coverage of solar applications. Good for planning solar for my TV.

This book won’t give you the practical skills to hook up any kind of mobile electrical system. The author skims through the concepts and terms of rv solar setups, gives some pointers on purchasing appropriate equipment, and did’t take the time to proofread his manuscript. The title implies that you might learn how to make wiring connections between solar panels, a charger, an inverter, and your appliances, but the “step-by-step general instructions” are too generic, and could benefit from some pictures or wiring diagrams. Your time will be better spent on u-tube, which is free.

The book did not cost much and you get what you pay for.

The content is very thin and not very useful in explaining how to build your solar panel system for your RV. You can find much more info online. Don't waste your money, I just returned mine.

Seems like a good book at first but the deeper in I got, the more confused I became. The examples were pretty hard to follow. Overall a bit disappointed. Am resorting to google for help instead.Seems like he understands electricity, but did not cover much about solar panel mounting on various roof materials, safety precautions and more. It does show the basics of electricity, but if you want to use it to build a system, I would look elsewhere. A little disappointed :(

Not really helpful for my needs. Basically gives information on materials needed but no diagrams or schematics included.

Very helpful and informative.

Just buy a ready made system. That's what you will end up doing anyway.
