Giessdorf"Original" 8 Jet Chrome Shower Head

I had an older version of this shower head in my last home. After removing the rubber water restrictor the shower head was great. I ordered another shower head for our vacation/retirement home. This newer version does not have the removable rubber restrictor. Instead there is a white plastic restrictor screwed in. I tried removing it with a phillips head screwdriver as another reviewer suggested. It would not budge. Since I was not happy with the flow and pressure, I left the plastic restrictor in place and drilled out the hole on the plastic restrictor to about double its original opening. This gave me the performance I was looking for. This is a very well made product that exudes quality construction.

I was really excited for this shower head, and I have no doubt that it is a good product. It is heavy duty and high quality. However, apparently my well water pressure is not high enough for it to be high powered like other reviewers have claimed. Even after removing the water restrictor it was too low of pressure, on par with a "rain" style shower head. Very disappointed, but likely the problem is on my end with water pressure. So, if you have well water with a pressure tank, be wary that you may end up with a gentle rain shower head, not a high powered jet shower head!

This showerhead does everything it says it will do! I need a powerful stream when showering and this one has it. We did remove the watersaver that is put in when manufactured- and that was very easy to do- I would recommend it. I personally don't feel that the watersave saves anything! With the watersaver in you cannot get enough water to wash the soap out of your hair so it takes twice as long to shower. Without it my shower time is cut in half! I love this showerhead so much that I am buying another one for my daughters to put in their apartment. I highly recommend this product!

If you like high pressure this is a great shower head. I’ve bought a few over the years and they are very well made.

These are awesome shower heads. If you take out the flow limiter it is like a deluge of water. If I had to go back I would remove maybe 3/4 of it with a drill instead of all of it. Love it the solid brass construction, it oozes unassuming quality.

Very disappointed in the quality of this expensive shower head! It did not live up to the reputation of the brand. It was a gift and now the return window is closed. What a waste!

The product arrived in a timely maner and was in good condition. It took about 15 minutes to install. I like it most when I am shampooing my hair, it will remove the soap from your hair in a jiffy.

I recently moved to an apartment for my new job and the existing shower head was feeble, at best with pressure and spray. This shower head is the best! I first heard of this shower head 10 years ago and use it in my permanent home. I highly recommend this seller!
