Review: Excellent bike for indoor spinning - I take indoor cycling classes at a local studio. It is hard for me to go as often as I would like, so I decided to purchase a spin bike for home use. After countless hours researching dozens of indoor spin bikes, I decided on the Spinner Sprint. I am extremely happy with my purchase. I wanted a bike that had a heavy flywheel, a leather brake pad, and a chain-drive. Q-factor, and quality of components and construction were also important. Multiple adjustment options for the seat and handles were a must (I was shocked to see some bikes have only 5 options for seat height - this bike has over 16). Finally, I wanted to purchase a bike from a company with excellent customer service, in case something should go wrong. Mad Dog Athletics, based in California, is a highly reputable company. I needed to order a replacement part (I am sure I did the damage), and they sent it out, free of charge, within a few days. This bike is better than I could have ever imagined. The quality of the frame is outstanding. The cranks are commercial grade, as are the handle-bars. Most importantly, the ergonomics are correct. My worst fear was buying a bike that was poorly designed and unusable, especially considering how difficult it would be to return. This bike is thoughtfully designed and very comfortable to ride. The seat that came with the bike was not comfortable, so I replaced it with a seat designed to reduce tailbone discomfort. I also changed out the pedals for ones that are compatible with clips. Based on the other reviews, I expected to make these upgrades. The chain on the bike does make noise, but it is no louder than a regular street bike. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend this bike to anyone. One note: make sure you are home when the bike is delivered. It is very, very heavy. My UPS delivery man helped bring it in the house with his cart. Final comment: this bike is a discontinued model, but it is new (not refurbished). It is an excellent buy, especially compared to the latest model. Not to mention the free shipping on desertcart. Bottom line: buy this bike!
Review: Best exercise purchase EVER - I love my Sprint bike and the DVD workouts that came with it. I'm 66 and haven't ridden a bike for a few decades. A friend took me to a Spin class and I liked how well my legs got a workout and my knees still felt good. I wanted that conditioning for downhill skiing. I don't like driving to a gym and realized I would pay for the Sprint by saving one year's gym membership. I can already feel how much stronger I am (after 3 weeks). My knees feel better, too, and skiing is easier. I bought shoes and padded gel seat to make the workout more comfortable.

**Q: How difficult is it to assemble?**
A: Also, make sure you have a good way to get it into the house, if that's where it's headed. The delivery guy was going to leave it at the bottom of my front steps. I talked him into taking it into the back and tipping it inside the family room.  It's very heavy and awkward.

**Q: Would I need to buy new pedals to use cycling shoes?**
A: Yes if your using clipless pedals. I use Cobalt eggbeater pedals with cobalt clips it works great.

**Q: The pedal on the right side of the bike snapped. How do I go about getting a replacement?**
A: Any bike shop should have a replacement

**Q: Will my husband, at 205 lbs be able to stand up for uphill training?**
A: I would think so, the bike is pretty solid and the heavy flywheel perfect for uphill type training too

I love my Sprint bike and the DVD workouts that came with it. I'm 66 and haven't ridden a bike for a few decades. A friend took me to a Spin class and I liked how well my legs got a workout and my knees still felt good. I wanted that conditioning for downhill skiing. I don't like driving to a gym and realized I would pay for the Sprint by saving one year's gym membership. I can already feel how much stronger I am (after 3 weeks). My knees feel better, too, and skiing is easier. I bought shoes and padded gel seat to make the workout more comfortable.

Been using it for about a month. Study, well-designed, quiet, and delivers an awesome workout. Would have given it 5 stars if it supported the Spin computer to tell you RPM, etc. But for what it is, it's great.
