Is there an advantage to foam filled vs the empty floats?

If they develop a leak they wont sink

Are these foam filled?

Yes, they are. I have one on my pond for eight months now, currently frozen in ice. Appears to be very durable.

Building a 12'x12' dock. Will use treated 2x8 for framing & 2x6 for flooring. How many floats will i need and will your floats support my design?

Hello, for the 250lb float for this size dock, it will be 14 floats. If you went with the de99242F float it will be 9 floats.

How do I hook them together

There are holes at each corner that can be used to anchor the docks to the material you attach to the top. I used mine to make a floating duck dock, which I attached at each corner with a nut, bolt and washers.
