THE CORDS COST LESS THAN SIXTY PENCE EACH AND ARE EFFECTIVE AND UNOBTRUSIVE IF NOT REQUIRED ( JUST TUCK THE CORD AND CORD LOCK INSIDE THE HAT BEFORE PUTTING ON YOUR HAT ) A COMPLETE BARGAIN !

The chin cord came off of my Walker and Hawkes Stetson hat, so I bought this set and they get the job done just fine. They're thin, but the elastic and the grips are both strong and it's quick and easy to adjust. Highly recommended if you happen to lose the chin cord in your cowboy hat!

They’re good but not very strong at all I’ve broken the little metal claps a few times, and I like to rest the hat round my neck when it’s not on so there’s a chance they break again

Have only just received these but, so far, I'm very happy with them. They're easy to attach - I pierced a small hole in the internal hatband resulting in an invisible metal thingy. Thinner and shorter than I expected but I'm ok with that; it makes it easy to tuck the cord away into the hat when I don't need it and there's no annoying long dangly bit under my chin. The thinness may mean they're prone to breaking but as there's five of them that shouldn't be much of a problem.

Very short string could benefit from. Wing linger but keeps my hat on and it is literally chin string

A good product

I simply made small holes in the lining of my bucket hat and pushed the ends of the strap through, making sure a T shape was formed inside the lining. A 5 minute job. The straps were very effective in keeping my hat on during a windy holiday in the Med.

Works great, no issues. I put off getting this for a while because I thought the string would be unsightly, but functionality is better esp when it is windy. When it is not windy, I can tuck the string into the hat. Works well, get it.
