We have a 1200W Panasonic microwave that kept tripping our AFCI breaker. I plugged the microwave into this plug in the same outlet, and no more nuisance trips! Amazing! Can’t believe this $12 thing helped prevent us from having to replace a $200 microwave.

At 540 Joule rating, it is slightly less protection than the 600 Joule rating for Tripp Lite's Spikecube, which cost less money. But I want it for the sculpt, size and black color. It still offers better protection than my ancient white Radio Shack 100 Joule model. Hard to beat a swift 1 nanosecond response time.I use it as a portable surge protector for a personal theraputic laser. I plug it in at home and both the "ground" and "protected" lights come on. At my friend's home only the "protected" light lit. I test it on another outlet and discover the first outlet has no ground wire. Something my old Radio Shack unit never tells me with one indicator light.The size is misrepresented in the ad. Dimensions are 2.13 x 2 x 2.38. Just a little thicker than the photo suggests. Things plug-in very snugly but should loosen a little over time. Using the top or bottom outlet still allows a standard 3-prong PC cord to plug into the other outlet.The mold is aesthetically pleasing and really makes it a professional looking and enjoyable protector to tote around with my theraputic laser. A handsomely perfect match.

Useing this on the power cord for a lifeline type device. All the outlets on surge protector were being used and this was a cheaper fix

I bought this because I have a very new Shark vacuum cleaner which had barely been used in my apartment before moving to my newly built home.
