The Air pump kit works great with my temporary set up. I just added a second pond to my backyard . I inherited some large Koi fish that had been left alone after an eviction. They were much larger than the fish I already had so I was afraid to put them together. I had less than 1 week to come up with something. I have too many things already plugged in to my designated pond outlets but needed some aeration. This solar panel system was perfect. The sun hit that panel box and when I plugged the stones in they were already working. Easy set up! After I get a permanent set up I will continue to use as extra aeration.

Used it for a few months during the summer of 2019 to help koi get extra air in my pond it worked fine .... packed it away neatly to use electric power pump for winter...brought it back out and set it up summer of 2020....PUMP never started back up even after leaving it out for two days to charge up! When your spending 10,000 to install a pond and 500 per Japanese koi you kinda think you would only want the best for your investment which is why I bought this solar powered air pump to help with more oxygenation in my pond. ITS JUNK and a waste of hard earn money ! Stick to electric power air pumps this is JUNK ,JUNK, JUNK ! By the way I hardly ever write bad reviews but this is a rip off heed my warning unless your made of money then go for it ! I'll never buy again from any seller trying to sell something like this ! PERIOD !!!!!!!! My pond isn't just a body of water it's my peaceful area where I can relax after a hard days work gather my thoughts and have a cold one listening to the flow of the waterfall and feeding my koi. I'm pretty sure everyone else will agree with me on that. What ever happen to quality products instead of quantity because I would always choose quality products even if the price is higher for performance.

It did it job but def is not for you if want actual filtering . Kept water moving def for small ponds

I was a bit upset when I installed it on a cloudy afternoon and it did not work. But the next day the sun was out all day and it started working at about 930. So orient the panel correctly and you will have a few hours each day. Nice and quiet pump. Probably not audible once I have it in a protected location. I guess right now it's about 30dB.

This definitely works for me. It adds a lot of oxygen to the pond, with no connection to mains power and no batteries. I would give it more stars if they had made the solar panel a little larger (even if that meant I had to pay a little more) so that it would work better in cloudy conditions. In full sun it pumps a lot of air, but with clouds that drops very fast to just a few bubbles (better than nothing, but...). Ease of installation depends a lot on the installer, and the situation of the pond. I built up some rocks to cover the pump, and ran an underground conduit to remote the solar panel to somewhere it was less obtrusive. I managed to do that, just, with the length of cable provided, but I could have spliced in more cable if needed (if you do that, bear in mind that the longer power cable will drop the voltage to the pump, making the cloudy day situation worse). Overall, I'm very happy. It will make a very big difference to the oxygen levels in the pond, which is what I needed.

Updated review, June 25. Had it almost before the return period expired, and it no longer pumps. Will check solar panel for voltage, but I suspect a crap pump. Less flow per db than my older Beckett solar aerator, which looks discounted. When you find something good on Amazon, and you can pronounce the maker, buy 2.

I used for a hydroponic set up. Everything came with the packaging and not additional things were needed to get it to work. Set up was easy and I had it up and running in just a few minutes. the solar is great, but really needs the sun as it may stop with bright clouds. I think it really keeps my hydroponic set up a lot healthier (not stinky now) and the plants seem to thrive even more with the oxygenation. Worth the price? Yes.

I have a small goldfish pond in the summer and if You only need it to last 1 year, then go ahead and buy..worked well for 3 months, stored for the winter, now nothing..I thought I'd spend the extra $ for better quality..gonna go back to aeration with my plug in aquarium pump..

Bought this "bubbler" for my natural pond. Although it's not big enough for the size of my pond (20' square-ish +) it works great. Just wish the solar panel would HOLD ENERGY so bubbler would work during cloud cover and/or at night. Air lines (2) and power line (1) are nice lengths. Great price and quality. Arrived from seller day or two earlier than expected.
