Best Bang for the buck over Briggs & Riley and Tumi.
I purchased this as a gift for my wife who does a lot of business travel and has a habit of over packing. I looked at a lot of garment bags going from mall store to mall store. Like most people, I have an attic full of old suitcases that are ripped, don't roll well, or simply are ugly. I wanted to get my wife something nice. Initially I was looking for a hard shell just because it looked nice and felt rugged. But after considering the pros and cons, I didn't really see any reason to pay the premium on a hard shell since most of the time it has capacity limitations and generally we don't travel with fragile items in a suitcase. I looked at Briggs & Riley, Tumi, American Tourister and a few others that were considered the nicer pieces. I was immediately shocked at the sticker price of the higher end models. I found a beautifully Briggs & Riley set for around $700 which carried a full week's worth of garments and a Tumi for a little more. Both were big but the main problem was that it had only two wheels and it was wide. The Tumi's had four wheels but they wanted close to $1000 which I thought was a little much for a bag being thrown around. My wife being petite, I could see her struggle getting the width thru doors with either of these larger bags (over 30"). When I looked at the Samsonite, I was blown away at the wheels. Then I realized that the spinners of today are way better than the spinners I remember 10 years ago. This garment bag rolled nicely either on four wheels or two wheels. It had a large capacity (29" bag) but not so big that it would be too heavy when fully packed. Just the right size. The handle is gel padded which makes it very nice to pull. Now having said that, the inside is not as elegant as the Briggs & Riley or the Tumi. The Briggs and Tumi have pockets everywhere and small touches that seem well thought out. The Briggs has the handle on the outside giving a little more room on the inside. And the warranty on either the Briggs or Tumi is amazing while the Samsonite is 10 years. Generally, the higher end bags look like they were made by designers as opposed to engineers. Now despite some of the advantages with the higher end models, I still went with the Samsonite because it was a much better deal overall and it looks like it was made by engineers trying to make a bag that functioned well for the traveler. What I mean by that, is while it is nice to have all of the little pockets, most people spend the bulk of the time in line, or moving around with their luggage from hotel to airport. When I travel I am looking for ease of movement. Luggage to me is about getting from point A to point B so the bag has to be functional.First, while the capacity is not as big as the Briggs or Tumi, it is plenty big enough not making the garment bag so big it becomes unwieldy. The bag easily handles a weeks worth of garments.Second, while the handle is stored on the inside versus the outside, this was a nonissue to me since the capacity is big enough as it is. The argument that Briggs and Tumi make for having the handle apart from the inside of the bag is that it provides more room for clothes and keeps clothes less wrinkled. While I can see that, clothes in any bag are going to get wrinkled and the added capacity for garments on a hanger doesn't make as much sense. I would think this argument holds more water in a suitcase since we can shove more things in there. But you only have 50 pounds of space until you get charged more so there is a limit as to how much you want to carry.Third, unless I'm sleeping in it, the interior "elegance" is immaterial. My clothes don't need to sleep in silk sheets.Fourth, the price was around $220 with amazon prime which is a third of the price of the Briggs or and a quarter of the price of the Tumi. If after 10 years, the bag falls apart, I'll buy another one.Fifth, all of the small pockets in a garment bag seem somewhat frivolous. It adds more weight to the bag with the extra zippers and fabric and honestly, I'm not bringing that many little things. If I am, I usually travel with toiletry bags to compartmentalize. Again, this is a garment bag and not a suitcase. Finally, while the warranty may not be as good (10 years) as the Briggs or Tumi (Lifetime), Samsonite has authorized repair facilities all over the US which makes getting warranty claims filled out easier. Briggs and Tumi have very few warranty service centers requiring that I ship the bag long distances for any warranty claim. If after 10 years the bag is falling apart, it'll give me a reason to get something new and I am still paying less than the Briggs or Tumi.So in summary, I really liked the Samsonite Sphere II garment bag because of the user friendliness of it. Easy to roll with spinners, comfortable to pull, plenty of room, great price, and just the right size of most people. In my opinion, this is the best bang for the buck. I highly recommend it.

This rolling garment bag is on another international trip and holding up great! Wheels/handle holding up well! So far, so good!
My husband couldn't believe I spend so much money on a piece of luggage, but it's WAY better than our other bulky suitcases! He's now traveling internationally for work and currently on his second trip. I took pics when we packed it FULL with 3 suit jackets, 5 pairs of slacks,5 button down shirts, shoes, ties, socks, underwear, etc. (He rotated his suit coats, so two jackets were worn twice). It was HEAVY, but we got it zipped up just fine and I like the design. He still had to iron shirts and pants at the hotel of course (they were packed TIGHT in there!) but the quality of the wheels and handle made it easy for him to maneuver at the airport, on the train and through the hotel, etc.Pros:1) Holds a lot (SUPER heavy and bulky as a big suitcase, so it will need to be checked)2) Handle goes into a pocket that zips up3) Wheels swivel and are sturdier looking that the flimsy ones you usually see.4) Outside pockets are helpful for shoes, socks, etc.5) inner zip lining keeps it all contained before you fold it over to zip.6) You can use a sturdy black handle on top to lift it up. The metallic looking handle that lengthens is more to just tilt and roll it, not for lifting (we've had many of these handles fail, so I'm cautiously optimistic about this design)**NOTE: You can also just push it, not tilt the baggage and it will roll just fine that way tooCons:This better hold up for MANY YEARS because it was expensive AF.LOLSo far, so good! Two international trips and going strong. Now, the true test is if I still like it in 2 years or 5 years. It's a Samsonite, so it SHOULD perform better than any others!I tied some ribbons on this suitcase so he could spot it at the airport baggage carousel. These bags all look the same.Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase. A businessman or woman should have professional garment bags when traveling. It looks better than some big ugly suitcase. If the handle, wheels and zipper hold up to continual use, I will be VERY VERY VERY happy! So far, we love it!If this suitcase fails, I will be updating this review after I test out their customer service. For as much as we paid, I expect greatness!!!

Good Garment Bag for a Big Guy
I wear a 50L suit with 32" inseam trousers. This bag fits 3 of my suits better than any other I have tried. It isn't perfect, however, as I still have to fold the bottom of the suits up a few inches. There is a lot of extra storage as well. I was easily able to fit about a week's worth of clothing, including the three suits, 2 extra pairs of slacks, 5 oxford shirts (on wire hangers), two pairs of shoes and ties, along with a ferw days worth of underwear and t-shirts and socks. As some have said, this is on the large side, and you won't be able to carry it on, but if you're a big guy you might not find much better. I would have given this 5 stars if I could have fit the suits without that extra fold at the bottom. As for people who rate these rolling garment bags poorly because their clothes don't come out perfectly when they arrive at their destination...keep in mind that when you fold your clothing in a garment bag like this one, you're folding your clothes...what could you expect?
