I like everything about my new Stormy Kromer cap. This is a well made and comfortable cap. It really helps keep my head and ears warm. Yes, I would recommend this cap!Notes about sizing - Order a larger size than the chart shows AFTER you measure your head. My measurement came out indicating that my size was a 7 1/2 so that is what I ordered. When I received my cap, the cap sat on my head just a whisker snug BUT I could not get the ear flaps down over my ears. Why? I wear glasses!! So, after thinking about this, I returned this cap and ordered another in the size of 7 3/4. Upon arrival I tried the cap on with the ear flaps down and my ears were perfectly covered.Great fit now!

I watched the movie "Rascal" 1969 for the first time the other day. Its set in the 1920's and the main character (A kid) was wearing one of these hats in the last scene of the movie. I thought it looked neat and did some research into vintage cap styles eventually discovering the hat was called a Stormy Kromer! Im from Texas and had never seen this style of cap before. I measured my head and ordered my very own Stormy Kromer in the "red pine" style. $50 is the most Ive ever spent on a hat but Im very happy with the design and build quality.Material - According to the tag, the cap is made of 80%wool, 20%nylon, and has a cotton flanel lining on the inside. The wool was important to me personally because I wanted it to be somewhat warm.Design - The ear flap is sewn to the cap so it will never fall or sag down by accident. The flap isnt very thick or plush so it blocks wind but doesnt block hearing. I could see this being beneficial when hunting. Normally when I hunt I avoid covering my ears but I think this ear flap would be ok. The tightness of the ear flap is adjustable using the lace on the forehead. Its adjustable range is about 1 inch but the cap itself still needs to be the correct size for your noggin.Summary - Over all Im very happy with this cap and cant wait to wear it out. I like it so much Im planning on buying another in a different color. If you're hung up on the price, dont worry...Its worth it. Read below...Bonus: I didnt realize this until after I received the cap...The paperwork attached to the cap says it has a lifetime warranty and will be replaced if the stitching ever wears out. And if you loose the cap they will let you buy a replacement at 50% off! Now the $50 price tag doesnt seem so bad.

The design is nice, but was hoping for a heavier wool at this price point.Because the wool is thinner than I thought, the hat works for three seasons: Great in autumn, adequate in winter, great in spring.Fitting guide is spot on. Trusted it enough to order another hat for my distant brother.

Very nice and warm, I'm totally happy.One thing they don't mention is that if the hat is a bit too large, you can tighten it up considerably by tightening the string that holds the front of the earflaps. Don't be afraid to order it a bit big.

I put off buying a stormy Kromer for years because I figured I would look like a dork in it. But I finally decided to buy one and I’m glad I did. It’s not the coolest looking hat I’ve ever had but it’s one of the most comfortable and best winter hats I own now. I don’t care how others think I look. I wanna keep my head warm.

Apresar de pedir una talla más grande según su tabla, la gorra es muy pequeña y no ajusta bien, si tienes pelo largo como yo hay que pedir de 2 a 3 medidas más grande y aún así la gorra no ajusta bien ya que tiene muy poca profundidad. Muy bien acabada y buenos materiales pero corte muy pequeño, como para niños

Warme Mütze in sehr angenehm weich anfühlendem Stoff. Der Ohrenschutz kann einfach heruntergezogen werden wenn nötig. Die Verarbeitung ist sehr gut. Ich habe mich gefreut, das ich ein dezentes Tarnmuster gefunden habe was nicht so militärisch aussieht. Ich trage die Größe 58, sie ist ein kleines bisschen zu eng, aber mittels Hutspanner passend zu machen. 59 wäre zu groß gewesen. Ich bin mit dem Kauf zufrieden und empfehle diese Mütze weiter.

EDIT January 2022: See below. In the end 7½ proved too snug and unstretchable. I donated it to charity and ordered 7⅝ which fits nicely and is slightly loose, but just doing up the lace at the front of a little tighter has given me a perfect fit. It's been very warm and practical.I debated which size to buy. My head is pretty much 59cm and I went for the 7½ thinking if it was slightly roomy I could gently steam it. It's definitely snug. Any tighter and it would be uncomfortable. It's probably going to be an advantage in a cold wind because there's no way any draught is going to get inside.It's very well made and definitely a quality piece of kit. Value for money indeed.If you're ordering from the UK I would definitely err on the large side.
