the item did not work, water is leaking, can not use Bel Art flow indicator for the purpose as ordered, can not recomment the item

The design of this makes it such that air bubbles can stop the ball and cause flow to not be displayed. Obviously having air bubbles in a system is not ideal, but if it happens, good luck. There are a number of other edge cases which can cause issues, like the ball getting stuck over the outflow portion of the torus. Over all, this did not provide a quality solution, and I am still searching for an alternative.

Not the best flow

I bought this to monitor cooling water flow on a valuable antique Ludlow Typograph. In the early tests, I quickly discovered that the hose connections leaked, but it appeared that the leakage was confined to the hose connections. I was easily able to solve the problem by permanently attaching hoses (automobile fuel hose) to the connections with silicone caulk (which doubled as a lubricant when attaching the hoses) and hose clamps, and once the caulk had cured, it held far more pressure than it would ever need to hold in actual service.The flow indication (i.e., the plastic ball circulating about its track) is very easy to see, and in practice, it easily registers flow rates that are much less than the actual flow rate of a properly functioning cooling system.Very cost-effective unit, and not at all difficult to install, with the leaky connections (easy enough to deal with) as my only gripe.

Leaked badly on first use. WORTHLESS for the price.

There was nothing wrong with this item. This flow meter/indicator was not what I expected it to be. It's made for a stronger flow.
