I like the size of this Ruler,,, easy to use for what I need.

I have a 6" Starrett metal ruler and these two 6" rulers match up perfectly to the Starrett. The ends are square, therefore reliable to be used at the beginning of your measurement. Obviously, I cannot ascertain the longevity of the laser etchings but it would appear to me that they should last a long time with normal use.

Probably accurate enough for casual use. Just watch out of the edges: they are sharp! I will probably polish the edges with emory cloth so I don't get a "paper cut".

!!FELLOW ARTISTS BE ADVISED!!I'm a hobbyist artist; in my free time, I enjoy drawing and sketching and the like.Some time ago, I was in need of a new ruler - one that was both sturdy AND small enough to to transport in a pencil case. Subsequently, I found and purchased the double pack of 6-inch rulers.Overall, they're good quality; the edges are straight, the measurement marks are mostly accurate (more on this below) as far as I can tell, and the metal used is rigid and sturdy. As a tool for making straight lines and measuring things that are up to 6 inches, they're more than serviceable.There's only one issue; the flat end of each ruler is cut at a very slight angle. Now, there's only about 1mm difference in the length of the Imperial side Vs the Metric side (specifically, the Imperial side is ~1/2mm TOO LONG at the flat end, while the Imperial side is ~1/2mm SHORT), so it isn't super noticable unless you're looking for it. Basically, these rulers are best for measuring and drawing lines that are free-floating from the edge of the paper.You can't see this defect by looking at the product demo images here, so despite how strange it seemed that BOTH rulers had this, I figured I just got a bad batch or something. Looking at the review images for these rulers, however, you can actually see that the ends of other people's rulers also have this defect, so it's seemingly a persistent issue with this product.Overall, is this some catastrophic issue? No, of course not. That said, this minor issue makes it incredibly difficult to use these rulers to accurately draw perpendicular lines or lines that are parallel with the edges of a page, which can be an issue for artists in particular.Tl;DrThese 6-inch rulers are good overall, but are cut at a slight angle at the flat end, leaving either set of units ~1/2mm off in their respective lengths, with about 1mm total difference between the Imperial and Metric sides of the ruler.For free-standing/free-floating lines and measurements, there's essentially no issue, but you can't use the flat end of the ruler as a reference/anchor point for making perpendicular and parallel lines.

My daughter hand-crafts miniatures and many times needs to create sharp edges when folding tiny boxes, etc. Her regular size straight edge ruler was just too bulky and cumbersome, but she needed that straight edge to make sharp corners and lines. These rulers worked out perfectly! Thank you!
