I can't give an exact account for how well this product is because I bought the wrong size, but I can say just from a side by side comparison this product is heavier and seems sturdier than the original

Since I am changing my previous rating, I cannot attach the photo of the part failure. I used this new part TWICE. I will admit I did hit a medium sized rock, but it was not enough to stop the motor. Who of us who are mowing have not hit a hidden rock?The shaft portion of this adapter BLEW OUT. The key which was embossed into the shaft from the outside, pushing metal into the shaftway failed and ripped out a large portion of the shaft tube. I originally thought any failure would be where the blade holder was welded onto the shaft tube, but I was wrong.Anyone wishing to see the photo of the failure can email me through Amazon and I will send it.

What I was looking for. Bought mower used and did not start it prior to purchase. Got it home and found that he had hit something. Blade was bent and the blade attachment with the drive pulls was sheered. New one slid right on with out issues.Back up and running.

Quick install and a new blade I was back to cutting grass
