This book was great. Colourful, inviting and informative. My daughter enjoyed using the flaps and I feel this helped her take in the information better than a standard book.I rated it 4 for the purposes of the project only as we could not get all the information we needed from this book alone. As a result, we went on to buy two more books. It was beneficial, and a great addition but, if you had to choose only one book for the project, this would not be it. We found the 'DK find out about the Stone Age' most helpful.That being said, it was great to get her interested in the beginning when all else had failed. She really did enjoy using it. Had i only bought it for learning and enjoyment, I would have definitely given it a 5.

Fantastic introduction to the Stone Age for kids, my 4 year old and I both love this book. Pulls no punches with the hunting aspect of hunting and gathering. There are so many pop ups it stays interesting. The detailed panoramas of Stone Age really hold the attention. Highly recommend for all nature kids out there.

Fun book which encourages the children to look and find out about the Stone Age. I bought it for my class - ages 7 - 9.

an engaging little book my so. was not thrilled to be doing the stone age at school he found it boring but this book helped him absorb the information and he likes the illustrations as much as the lift the flap novelty
