Solid value for the price.
I found this pack for a really low $38 purchase price. My old North Face backpack has reached a worn out point that I needed to replace. I use my old NF back pack for a computer bag as well as for traveling as my typical carry on for flights. Now this is yet another Chinese made product and I like to buy made in America goods. This pack seems to be of solid construction all around, maybe I just got a good one as I see some reviews for cheap construction, problems at the seams, etc.I bought this specific pack because of the height of 25.6" - this is to carry our snorkeling gear that includes swim fins that are 24" in length. Last night I packed up all the snorkeling gear (2 sets), a test fit of 2 towels, snack stash, and 2 large water bottles - everything fit well with a touch of additional space for more stuff. The pack comes with so many 'straps' that I ended up cutting some off as I will never be using this for like back country hiking trips. I also got the pack all set up like I wanted and then trimmed the excessively long straps, sealing the ends with some flame to keep from frazzling.First trip with this new pack begins early tomorrow with an international flight, I will update this review following that trip, sharing performance and/or any issues with the pack. For a super cheap $38, the pack I received is really great, remembering you get what you pay for so we shall see how it performs and lasts.

Affordable & functional!
This is my first backpacking pack and I love it! It was so nice to find an affordable pack that has plenty of room, support, and comfort! Don't overstuff it or you’ll risk tearing the seams but you can still pack it pretty tight without risk of tearing. If you need a cheap pack that will last at least a few seasons, look no further! Tons of pockets and places to attach gear to the outside of the pack.

Nice size
Smaller than my very large pack yet bigger that standard size backpacks. A good choice for those medium trips. Worked great for a 9 day rafting trip.

Lightweight well padded
Purchased this pack and took it to 12,000' a couple of days later. It stayed relatively comfortable for a 7 hour hike. Got rained out the last two hours and, using the included rain cover, was able to keep my stuff bone dry. Fit an extra sweatshirt, a days worth of food, 64oz of water, and a small first aid kit perfectly.

Really decent backpack. Excellent value, better than expected!
This review is 100% unbiased. Was not asked to post this or compensated for doing so.I only buy North Face backpacks so I am grading this pack to theirs.Obviously, NF makes a much better product, but you pay at least double what this costs. If I had to buy a backpack for thru hiking that I had to depend on for 6 months to a year straight, it would not be this one. I just can't trust it.That being said, I am very pleased with this product. I wanted a lightweight, large, top-loading backpack to use on my bike. This is the perfect size for what I need. Any bigger and I'd look like I was running away from home. Fits more than you think. Material isn't too lightweight but I wouldn't say it is heavy duty. Seams and stitching seem to be pretty good. Zippers have a good feel and should hold up a while. Buckles aren't the best plastic but not the worst. Padding is nice. I think it should ventilate well based on its design and my experience with similar backpacks but because of the weather here in the northeast I have not been able to appreciate this feature yet. I would have liked a couple more smaller pockets. There are only 2 and if you have it really packed up the front bottom pocket is good for a 2" book at best. Mine is all b lack with some gray in the padding. My suggestion to potential buyers:I paid just over $40 and had this in a couple days so if you need a reliable backpack this size in a hurry this will not let you down. Don't expect $200 quality from a $40 product. If someone showed this to me and asked how much I thought it was, I would say $60-70. So use that to scale value. If you are on the fence, just go for it on this one.

Functional Hiking Day Pack Only
I purchased this hiking pack to prepare for a major overnight scouting event: Florida’s Historic Barefoot 🦶 Mailman Bike (35 miles, start to finish). This product was advertised as an overnight pack and can handle rugged terrain. Upon unpacking I liked the color and some of the features like the chest whistle and the complementary bright highlights on the closures. However, on a 10-mile practice hike, the pack volume could barely fit a spare shirt, food and snacks, small 6x4 tarp, & water bladder. My small first aid kit barely fit in the cover pouch. It did gave external straps for holding a tent and a lightweight camping stool. While on the hike, adjusting the load was okay. Compared to a metal frame pack, it required constant adjusting along the trail. My biggest complaint is the missing thumb or hand loop attached to the shoulder straps that should have helped with reducing swelling and adjusting the pack’s weight while hiking.I think this is a great pack for a day hike, or a hike from an established camp. But this is not a pack for a long, arduous trip where you have to lug everything from your cook gear, food, water, and camping equipment for an overnight trek.

Great backpack
Took my backpack on an overnight hike. I was pleased with the amount of gear I could fit and like how the top section can be adjusted to fit more in. I am a smallish build (50kg, 160cm), but was able to adjust the straps so that I could carry the backpack comfortably. One area that could be improved is the bottom storage area that can be accessed from the bottom front of the pack. It would be good if this could protrude from the pack instead of just going into the bottom of the main storage compartment.
