Kieninger HM0034 Chiming Quartz Clock Movement Battery: 2 C Batteries Speaker Diameter: 2 9/16" Handshaft: 21mm 15mm Speaker Wire: 5.5 cm Hands NOT included. Two Years Warranty The discontinued Hermle pendulum units are replaced by by a superior Kieninger with a stronger coil and better sound. One difference is If you are replacing a 2114 unit, the clock will now play Westminster or Ava Maria instead of Westminster or Bim Bam chime. Plays ascending chiming melody on each 1/4 hour, full melody at the top of the hour, strikes the hour after playing the full melody. Can also be set to play just the full Westminster melody plus the hour strike at the top of the hour, without playing the ascending melody on the 1/4 hours. Can be set to play 24 hours a day or set to shut off at night for 8 hours. Volume control. Auto night shut off feature, uses I shaft hands, and has external speaker. Uses 2 C batteries. Since 1999 I’ve rebuilt my grandfather clock 5 different times, don’t try to cheap out on buying the clock movements, I’ve learned my lessons.
Review: Clock Movement Replacement - It was not an exact replacement. The shaft of the new movement was about 1/8th inch longer than the part that I replaced on my clock. With a little modification to the clock we were able to make it work. I sanded a piece of craft wood to the proper thickness, glued it to the back of the clock face, drilled a hole and installed the shaft through the face to the front. Once installed the clock movement works great. Make sure that you install the part level or the pendulum will not work properly. My clock was almost 20 years old so the fact that the part was different from the original was not too much of a surprise .

Can also be set to play just the full Westminster melody plus the hour strike at the top of the hour, without playing the ascending melody on the 1/4 hours.
- The movement has automatic night shut off and can be set to play 24 hours a day or set to shut off at night for 8 hours. Volume control. Speaker is 2 9/16" (66 mm) with 22 diameter magnet. 32cm speaker wires allow you to mount the speaker for the most advantageous sound. This is a very versatile quartz clock unit with superior sound quality allowing you to enjoy the convenience of the quartz clock but the rich and deep sound of the mechanical one.
- IMPORTANT: Please note the measurements carefully, particularly when using this as a replacement movement. We have the same movement available in different sizes so choose the correct one for your clock. This movement has 21mm (about ¾”) stem length for dials up to ⅜” thick. Please measure the length of the hand shaft on your existing clock movement from the front of the movement to the tip.

**Q: Will the hands from my current Hermle Quartz 2215 movement, fint on the shaft of this replacement correctly?**
A: Yes they will - the hands from your old Hermle movement will fit this replacement just fine. We do send new gear just in case but you can use your old mounting gear as well. Hope this is helpful.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Clock Movement Replacement

It was not an exact replacement. The shaft of the new movement was about 1/8th inch longer than the part that I replaced on my clock. With a little modification to the clock we were able to make it work. I sanded a piece of craft wood to the proper thickness, glued it to the back of the clock face, drilled a hole and installed the shaft through the face to the front. Once installed the clock movement works great. Make sure that you install the part level or the pendulum will not work properly. My clock was almost 20 years old so the fact that the part was different from the original was not too much of a surprise .

I ordered this clock movement and installed my self - it didn't work. So I took it to a clock shop and asked them to look at it - they said the movement I had ordered did not work. So I ordered another, and had the clock shop install it - it doesn't work. When I get the parts back from the clock shop, i will return them. At almost $95 each this is an expensive item that should work. Maybe there is one bad egg in the batch of movements - but two bad eggs in the course of a months time - bad deal.
