Durable but Dirties easily
My husband and I remodel properties often for Airbnb and personal use. We have had this toilet installed for over a year now; we chose the wall Mount for the first time due to space restrictions in a historic home.Despite reading the reviews, I went ahead and ordered the oblong instead of the more round size, hoping it wouldn’t dirty as much as the reviews stated. We took the chance on the oblong because we wanted the seat to fit both women and men easily, and it didn’t extend too far for the space we had. It was a tricky install but mainly because we were first timers. We were finally able to mount it and it is very sturdy. Unfortunately the reviews were correct, and any type of number 2 streaks on this ceramic. Literally, you need to clean it with a scrub brush every time. I think I would have gone with the round, smaller option if I could redo it all!The second thing to mention is that the slow close seat that was recommended to pair with this broke within a few months, and remains loose consistently. I reached out to Amazon and the company and neither would offer compensation. I do love European brands and design, but their customer service to this side of the ocean has not served us well. Just take that into consideration when picking your ideal toilet!

Residue
I recently built a new house and have bought 6 of these wall mounted. The toilet looks modern and clean after installation but leaves a streak of residue after flushing. called duravit and they say use a toilet brush after use. According to them it’s not a manufacturing defect but designed as such. It’s a hygienic issue I feel. If u have guests in the house you need to let them know after you use the toilet kindly use a toilet brush to clean the residue. How stupid is this???

Bowl soils easily
These wall hung toilets are attractive space savers; I can't believe they are not yet standard items in new construction. My only complaint with them (I have 1 but am adding 3 more) is that the lower water level means the bowl soils with #2 waste. Can't they redesign the wall hung toilets to resolve that issue?

HORRIBLE
purchased 4 of them for new house and it takes 3 flushes to get everything down and then brush work every single time. Give me a cheap Kohler please any day. We wanted wall hung and will be replacing all 4 of them and throwing them out after 2 weeks of use.

We like it - some complain about 1st world problems
We have this model in our Master Bathroom. We are planning a second bathroom renovation and purchased this same model for uniformity. Our current one works as designed and has never clogged to this day. If we hated it, we wouldn't order the same one.We really like that this bowl has hidden bolts. It makes installation a little more tricky because you'll need a 2nd person to hold it up while another reaches up from underneath to fasten the bolts. But it's worth it because it is completely seamless and doesn't require bolt caps or plastic inserts to hide the bolts. This makes for a cleaner look and also makes cleaning easier.I can't believe some reviews complain about "soiling". Here's the solution....SIT BACK A BIT MORE! Any toilet you buy today will have a limited water footprint due to the regulations on flush volume. You can't have that larger, deeper pool like you did on toilets from the 80's. The "soiling" isn't because the bowl is flawed - it's because the "target area" as I'll call it - is smaller. Sitting over the "target area" will help control this except in those less common events. It's also somewhat normal to have a brush available (see my photos). I can't believe this has to be explained to some people.Quick lesson.....No toilet sold in the US will provide any more flushing capacity. The legal limit is 1.6 gallons per flush. Different shaped bowls will give the APPEARANCE of a bigger flush, but it's still 1.6 gallons. I'd rather have a smaller, deeper area than a larger and shallower area. Either way, a brush should be near any toilet and we shouldn't be complaining about 1st world problems.Reminder....This item is the toilet only and is one aspect of a wall-mounted toilet system. You need the proper carrier (in-wall chassis, tank and flush mechanism) for a complete working toilet. Here is the one I used:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01C7FL4PK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (I also have a review of this)NOTE: I purchased this item on Amazon for full price and have no affiliation to the seller. I try to write helpful, unbiased and insightful reviews because I also read reviews prior to making my own buying decisions. I notice many reviews lack helpful information, are not well written or give poor reviews based on not reading directions, inexperience or failing to read the product details prior to purchasing. Writing valuable reviews helps pay it forward.
