Godox S-type Bracket Bowens S Mount Holder for T+L Speed Ring Softbox Speedlite Softbox Beauty Dish Reflector Umbrella

I purchased one of these to replace a T-type mount one of my softboxes came with. Since I use speedlights the standard t-type left a lot to be desired and for better light control I had to use gaffer's tape around the hole left by the speedlight in the back or lose nearly half the output. This product significantly reduces the need to do that (obviously this is irrelevant if used with an umbrella), but also doesn't allow that option (which would be nice for the top part if they would include a blanket that drops down as you adjust the upper mount to tighten onto a speedlight, this is something I would even pay a little extra for). The overall mount is great, and very well made. I can't imagine going back to any of the old mounting systems after using this! I now have three of these (two that were included with other speedlights). The only complaint (but not really a complaint long term) I have, is that it is difficult to adjust the angle of this once mounted. I say that's only a temporary gripe because my old T-type had gotten to the point it wouldn't hold the adjusted angle properly, I do not ever see that being a problem with the way this is built and designed.Pros - Very well made, light, easy to work with, compact.Cons - Hard to adjust the angle once speed light and box/umbrella is mounted, no way to make this light sealed for a soft-box.Update: After one month of use, I've found the durability is great. The adjustment never did become "smooth" for angling the light, however it does hold it's position very well compared to all of the T-type mounts I have used. The single regret I have with this, is that if I want to use the light without a modifier suddenly for a more dramatic shoot, I have to remove the mount completely and screw the light onto the stand, where with the T-type mounts I could simply loosen the screw where the flash was mounted and spin it around away from the soft box or other modifier. Not a huge issue, but something to note for the creative photographer on the go.

These are great for holding your speedlights,They keep the flash close to the center unlike some of the other brackets. I have five of these. I even mounted one to the back of a beauty dish. I find them to be well built for the task. My only small complaint is that they are a bit stiff when changing tilt position but at least you don't have to worry about them flopping down once you've set them.

At first look I thought the mounting system was a bit awkward, but what it does is free-up the sensor on the flash to point it at the commander on the camera (I use the Nikon IR trigger a lot). Also useful if using shoe-mounted receivers. I have had trouble fitting my RF receivers on to units that have a shoe mount. Not enough room. The Bowens mount is icing on the cake as I have 5 Bowens monolights. I can easily use the reflectors and other accessories with my speedlights.

I ended up returning this because I realized afterward that I needed the Elinchrom mount, but I wanted to mention that this bracket is cleverly designed... while the inner part is for Bowens mount, the outer edge of the circle is exactly the right size to allow for the standard rectangular / square Ezybox to attach to (though I don't think it would work with the octagonal Ezybox without the appropriate speedring added).

I love how this holds my speed light as opposed to the cold shoe mounts. It feels so much more sturdy! In addition to fitting my Bowens octaboxes, this also has an umbrella mount, which I didn't notice or I would have bought two of them! It's plastic, but feels secure on the stand and holds my speed light tightly. I have a Yongnuo 600ex speed light and it fits perfectly!

Works as it should ~ Used this to replace a weak S Bracket that came with my CowboyStudio Fancy Pro 37 Inch Octagon Umbrella ~ Works like a charm ~ Well worth the money ~ Would buy or recommend to anyone looking for a upgrade over the Cowboy bracket ~ Now my Fancy Pro 37 Inch Octagon Umbrella works like it should ~ Its outstanding ~

I love this bracket! It's lightweight, pretty solid, strong enough to hold my flash without damaging it and remain secure. I have two, one for a softball I bought here from Neewer, and one for a DIY beauty Dish project I decided to try. Both are working and serving with perfection! The price is SO right, too!
