Unmasking the Jezebel Spirit

This book is amazing ( I don’t normally write reviews) ! I’ve always wanted to read books but nothing never caught my interest and had be wanting to read more. This is the first book that has my full attention . This book Is great the church , pastors , and laypeople ! There is so much insight and most importantly conviction/ repentance . I’m So glad I got this book , for myself and whoever the lord leads me to give this book to next ! I would definitely say get it if you feel like the lord is leading you to it, he definitely did for me ! No regrets !

This is not a book about finding evil spirits everywhere nor about providing ammunition for your latest witch-hunt. Rather, the author simply speaks from his own experience, both personal and that of many other Christian leaders he has counseled or worked with. The devil does try to manipulate and control us in order to rob, steal and kill God's calling upon our lives. And, he sometimes gains sufficient influence over someone to use them as proxy for said manipulation and control over us or others. This is the so-called Jezebel spirit: the demonic influence over someone that is strong enough to ensnare others under their influence as well. And, like the Bible story, the Jezebel spirit often works in harmony with an 'Ahab spirit', that is, a demonic influence that weakens its subject and makes him or her compliant to the manipulation of 'Jezebel'. The author shares many real-life stories to illustrate this dynamic and also gives clear, well-balanced and proven suggestions both to detect the presence of these dark influences and to confront and break free from them through the power of Jesus Christ. I recommend this book wholeheartedly!

I got it used. Quality as expected. Recommend this book to anyone who wishes to know the truth on the subject. This book is not a manual to start a witch hunt in your church, but information is very useful. When you feel that something doesn't sit right, the important insights might be provided by this book. You may be surprised how much of it you already encountered and didn't know what you were looking at.

In his preface, author John Paul Jackson warns that reading UNMASKING THE JEZEBEL SPIRIT will cause one to wonder if he/she is a Jezebelite. He is so right. He confesses that even he, in researching for the writing of his book, began to feel suspect himself. Maybe there is a little bit of Jezebel in all of us? Maybe it is a natural phase we go through? Whatever, the book does arouse considerable introspection, especially when we want to be right with God and to avoid all attitudes and practices that could do spiritual harm to others. The scripture that kept running through my mind the whole time I was reading the book is, "If your heart condemns you, God is greater than your heart." (I John 3:20) By the end of the book, the author makes clear all the attributes normally found in one who bears the Jezebel spirit and suggests sound counsel to pastors and others for dealing with such an individual. He even lays out the measures that must be taken to redeem and set free those who are influenced by this spirit. Throughout the book the reader is introduced to real-life scenarios in which Jezebelites have wormed their way into churches and the personal lives of church leaders only to leave them and the churches in a heap of rubble. By the end of the last chapter, one who desires to live a Christlike life knows he/she must deal quickly and forthrightly with devisiveness and seduction. I recommend UNMASKING THE JEZEBEL SPIRIT only to the spiritually mature who take seriously their responsibility before God. Virginia Rogers

Easy to read and understand. I think it’s important to expose this evil spirit of Jezabel. I’m a catholic, but still, exorcists are starting to speak more and more about their own encounters with this filthy spirit at possessions.

I don't think a lot of people are read to have their eyes open regarding the spirit of Jezebel. I started a very small group meeting of ladies so we can read this book and get educated on this awful spirit that as I write this is tearing down a lot churches and bringing down pastors. Be prayed up and be ready to go under a spiritual attack and battle because this Jezebel spirit does not want to be exposed. This is a must read book especially if you are a Pastor's wife. Be warned: there is a misconception that a Jezebel spirit only operates as a women. Not always. Also keep in mind that a Jezebel spirit needs an Ahab to operate, that is why is spirit goes from churches to churches looking for that Ahab and once it finds it, it will stay there and use it for her/his benefit depending whether the it is a man or woman. It will go into your church and make itself notices by the the head Pastor, this spirit will bring destruction on your intercessors and confusion. It will put the pastor against his wife and leadership and it will spread rumors, lies, deceptions and gossip..the list goes on. Once that ministry is dismantled it will move on to the next. This spirit does not operate by herself it uses witches that will become part of your ministry and their job is to dismantle the intercessors. God's words says: Matthew 17:21 New American Standard Bible "But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting."

We must not take the bait of this defiling spirit she must be unmasked and brought to the light for the sake of gods kingdom this book was far the best teaching on this particular spirit who is covered up by the religious spirit in our church body people need to read this book and educate themselves at the same time going back to the real answer the BIBLE to reference notes

I have to say as an interim pastor, nurse healer and spiritual counselor, this book has explained so much of what I see in the 13 churches I’ve served over 25 years. I’ve seen this destroy marriages, but the church is deepest affected. As a result, the church’s influence is weakened in the world. The Jezebel Spirit is alive and well and in many churches has destroyed their passion for Jesus Christ. John Paul does an excellent job in this book of unmasking the Jezebel spirit and thus unmasking why the church is losing its power in the world events today.

This book was an eye-opener to me. I never really understood what Jezebel was despite being raised in Church. The book reveals how the devil himself works through individuals to destroy unsuspecting members of the body of Christ and entire churches. Very useful if read reflectively.

I strongly recommend this book for anyone who wants to learn more about the Jezebel spirit. If you are a woman, and sometimes you feel the need for control this book my help you to detect whether you are influenced by this demonic spirit. Very biblical teaching👏👏

Forewarned is fore armed! A vital read for anyone in church leadership. John Paul Jackson’s teachings are the best! Well worth the read!

Good Book. Explores the subject very well. Good illustrations and examples, some of which have tragic ending. I recommend this book.

Must read for pastors and leaders who need to discern if this spirit is at work in their church and how to deal with it.
