Natural materials, feels quality
Bought this to replace the brush in my Full Circle Bubble Up station when the original brush started losing fibers.I was afraid that this brush would feel rough since it's unfinished, but it does not. The bristles are tough enough to scrub but have enough give to make them bend around curves and silverware. The two-pack came in a single plastic bag. Not ideal but pretty much par for the course and it's recyclable at drop-off locations.I'm going to try composting the brush when it reaches the end of its life.

Absolutely Awesome
I am trying to reduce the amount of plastic in my life, so I purchased these to help me keep my dishes clean. They work SO well. I use one on my cast iron and it cleans it effectively without damaging the seasoning. The other I use on all of my other dishes and it works just as well if not better than my older plastic brush. Also, since the bristles aren't plastic, you don't have to worry about them melting on a hot pan.

Small but comfortable to hold, cleans well
I am a die-hard sponge user, but in an effort to be more environmentally friendly, I've been looking for other options. I bought a silicone scrubber, but it doesn't hold onto soap well and makes me go through soap twice as quickly! This scrub brush is smooth, compact, yet easy to grip with either gloves or bare hands. The bristles are stiff and will fling water and soap around a bit, but they've softened in a few weeks and are great now. I can scrub nonstick skillets as easily as plates or baking trays with burnt bits. The bristles don't take on too much color either, which is nice! The only unfortunate thing is that the handle immediately split on my first brush, but it hasn't gotten larger, splintered, or impeded the overall design or use of the brush. To be expected with real wood, can't complain if it gets the job done!

These seem well made, but time will tell
These will arrive raw, without any finish. That might be for the best, so you can choose how to treat them. I chose the same oil/wax I use on my cutting board (John Taylor) but know that such a treatment will not last long in a sink environment. After use, we shake them off and store them upside down to dry the bristles first. They are requiring continuous wax/oil treatment for the handles, but they haven't split. They've very effective brushes... we scrape our iron pans first and then scrub with these. We soak our iron in water and Dawn detergent but then heat them to the first smoke and treat them with Canola oil (leaving them on the stove to cool)... they remain non-stick and continue to get better with use. No need for the mysticism of "seasoning" cast iron or steel... and no need to fear detergent... even soaking. Just use your steel/iron pans and treat them after every use. Eventually they become bulletproof and truly non-stick. Soak and scrub away... you won't change their non-stick qualities if you season them after each wash. How to season? Middle heat, wait for a touch of smoke, add a few drops of high-heat oil (I use canola), wipe it around with a folded paper towel (don't burn yourself), wipe it all off so that you barely see an oil surface, turn off the heat and let it cool. Do this every time after cleaning and you will end up with amazing iron pans.

Fantastic brush for dishes and sinks, not so good for cast iron
Ok, these are great scrub brushes. However they are NOT what you need for cast iron pans. The bristles are just not sturdy enough for that at all. For my cast irons I use a natural fibre brush that has a looped shape and short, stiff bristles. These bushes get daily use, they're fantastic for washing regular dishes and silverware, the softer bristles actually make them super effective for that.I also keep one in my bathroom because it's a perfect sink scrubber! When everyone is done brushing their teeth I just grab the brush and clean the sink out, takes me seconds, I love it!So, takeaway is I love these brushes. They clean really well without splatter for most things/dishes. But they're not well marketed as they're really too soft for a cast iron.

Not so Eco packaging (and...?)
Disappointing that this supposedly environmentally friendly item came wrapped in unnecessary plastic (made in China). I guess I didn’t do enough research. Seems reasonably sturdy and the handle is wood.

Doesn't fit in cups or mugs.
I really wanted to love this because I'm trying to get rid of plastic in my home. But, when you hold the handle, you can't fit the brush into a cup or mug and clean the sides. The brush + your hand is too wide. So it's fine for cleaning anything but a cup or anything with a narrow opening.

Good stuff
I just invested in some carbon steel pans and wanted to be able to scrub them without soap and still be able to get them clean. So far so good. I have used the a few times on the carbon steel pans and also cast iron and have worked fine. I have not seen any loose bristles and they seem to dry pretty quick. I would recommend these brushes.
