Mind Reader 40L Laundry Basket, Clothes Hamper, Wicker Design, Plastic, 23"L x 14.5"W x 10.5"H, Ivory

It’s so tiny! The description said it was for 40 liters of clothes.. that means nothing to me. I should have looked for dimensions but it looked like a normal sized basket!! Anyway, it’s about 23 inches long, and 14 1/2 inches wide with a depth of about 10 1/2 inches or so. It is semi-sturdy.. I mean it’ll do the job but for $17 plus tax.. I expected a bigger basket.

This is a very small basket, smaller than average laundry baskets. You can't hold more than one large load of laundry in it at a time. I was looking for a flexible basket, but unfortunately this one proved TOO flexible. It's so bendy that you can't hold it with one hand braced against your body. It will bend in and slide down. You need to be able to carry this basket two-handed at all times.

These are certainly lightweight but sturdiness/durability is in serious question. As pictured, the handle snapped on only my second use of the laundry basket. I simply grabbed it and held it against my body as one normally does to carry a laundry basket in order to have a hand free. The second I applied a normal amount of pressure to hold it against my body, the plastic in the handle snapped.Pretty disappointing/unacceptable for what otherwise seems like a standard, sturdy and lightweight laundry basket.

This says a great deal about being in “home-safe” now that I’m so happy with a hamper, to the point that I’m even writing about it. But again, like so many of us… I have a lot of time on my hands. And yes, this is a great hamper. Extremely well-constructed, lots of space, good handles for carrying, and just the right height. I like putting the hamper under my dryer so when I open the door it's easier to “scoop” out the clothes, and just let them fall in. Many hampers are too tall for that. This holds the same amount of clothes as the others, but is wider so it works under most dryers. Honestly, I have bought others at stores in the days when we could do things like that without risking our lives, and they never held up, and were pretty flimsy. Or they cost too much. This is indeed a perfect hamper and a perfect price.

I got the Ivory 40 Liter Clothes Basket and from the material it isn't meant to be "floppy" but it isn't enough material to be rigid. Put the first load of clothes in, picked it up, went to squeeze it a bit to get around a corner and the one handle flexed and snapped.I have to imagine this happens quite often. The material and design obviously isn't intended to flex much or things will snap but the material isn't strong enough or thick enough to stop you from easily flexing it past the point it breaks.

We recently remodeled and added a small laundry area, we just did not have enough room for the usual sterilite laundry baskets I used to fit 6 baskets. I looked all over for a basket the same size without the large lip on it that would allow me to use 6 baskets ( 1 for each member of my family). I found these and i am in love! They are firm and not flimsy which is great. I wish I could show you a picture but for some reason the option to add a photo is not available :(*edited to add photo now that it is available!

I love laundry baskets -- they're so useful for so many things: storage, storing dirty laundry until time to wash, hauling to/from laundry room, etc.My use is very specific: I have to use a rollator to get around my apartment building. One of my regular trips from my apartment to the lobby is to pick up grocery deliveries about every 10 days or so. I needed something that would fit into the seat of the rollator to hold the grocery bags. I measured the rollator seat including height, then went shopping on Amazon to find a basket or bin of some kind of bin that would fit on the seat.This one popped up, measurements seemed "right," so I ordered it. It fit perfectly! It's exactly the right size, and holds a week+'s worth of groceries for transport back to the apartment. It's sturdy enough for my use, too.Very happy with this.

Update as of 1 year- Had to duct tape handles a few months ago because they broke from moderate use. (2 adults, 1 dog. No major laundry loads) Has remained in tact, otherwise.Original review: It’s smaller than a normal laundry baskets but I ended up loving that! It’s a sleek design, durable, bendable, no stupid broken handles like EVERY SINGLE LAUNDRY BASKET I have ever owned. I literally have duct taped the handles of all of my janky a$$ plastic laundry baskets. It’s so trashy but I refuse to throw them away. *review amended
