This will not work on mac It will download and install but when trying to open the game it said "Hoyle card games classic needs to be updated. The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of macOS. Contact the developer for more information." Do not purchase. the game needs to be removed from sales.

Absolute junk. Have had a number of wonderful bridge games over the years. Bought this thinking that it would be the equivalent, but it wasn't. Rather than give opens (various conventions) and teach you how to play, this done none of that. Ugly graphics make the cards difficult to read. And ... to add insult ... it just stopped working with a message indicating that the license key was no longer good, ... contact vendor. An attempt to contact Amazon to return this resulted in no link between the game and anyone who could respond, with an auto message that downloaded items are not returnable. Avoid at all costs.

I generally only play bridge or poker but the games are challenging and dont appear to be rigged on the deals. I had bought the programs some years ago and shut out without being able to retrieve the password/code, so I bought it again. I guess I use it enough to spare the second purchase.

Apple will not allow me to open this ap. Developer of ap needs to update product. I'd like a refund.

After ordering this product, I attempted to download it to our new Mac. Mac refused it because it cannot be protected against mal ware. Wasted my money.

Hoyle Card Games [Mac Download ] This download worked more or less as it should for about a year. Then I had to get my Mac laptop electronics repaired by Apple, and afterwards the downloaded software refused to play with the same laptop, even after refreshing the download from Amazon three times. It said there was a problem with the license, but neither Amazon nor Encore nor Hoyle Software gave me any help. It looks like the version I bought was outdated, and was no longer supported. I eventually bought a newer version from Encore directly, for the same price (~$10) I had originally paid Amazon, and this version is almost identical in operation to the old version. The main difference to me is that it works. I play only Gin and Poker with it, and I have to tell you that the trash talk from the computer-generated characters has not changed in the several years between versions, and apparently there is nothing useful to buy with the "bit coins" they keep awarding me. I play Gin because I need to learn how to anticipate what my opponent is probably doing, and I haven't learned it yet. I play poker to hone that skill, and I found that the betting strategies used by the computer opponents make a little more sense now in this version. So there has been some improvement, at least. I have no comments on the other Hoyle games, because I have better versions from other suppliers (Solitaire, Hearts, and Cribbage).

Sometimes I just want to kick myself, and purchasing this product after reading the bad reviews is one of those times. If you read further, you will see that folks could not install the download they purchased. Since I am fairly computer savvy, Hoyle is a reputable game company, and Amazon certainly is a responsible company, I thought this might work for me. It did not. Despite every trick in the book, this will NOT download. So, here's to learning a lesson the hard way... and Amazon, you now have one strike in my book as well.

After I was able to get it downloaded it was more than I expected with all the extra games. I have the older version and like the newer version for bridge better.
