Non-comedogenic serum that is light and hydrating. I recommend it.
I like Erno Laszlo products. This serum is light and effective as a night cream for those who cannot stand oily products on their faces. I have a problem with milia, and this product works for me and I switch off with other Lazslo products after a few days of using one.

not very moisturizing (it's a serum, not a lotion)- made me break out. not worth the cost.
First of all, I'm saying straight off that I'm giving this serum only two stars because of the price- for two hundred, I feel like a skin product has to be above and beyond most others. After using this serum for a few weeks, I'm not convinced at all. After using this serum for a few weeks, sometimes I think my skin might look a little smoother and firmer, but then other days I feel like my skin is much greasier and uneven and rough looking. I have used other face serums in the $20-50 range that had really good results, and did not make me feel as if my skin might be looking worse than it was when I started. But I also know some skin care regimens will make your skin go crazy before they show results, so I WILL update this review if I realize that this serum is worth the cost. But right now, it's a big "not worth the money".The pros: it's very lightweight. NOT greasy at all (doesn't seem to moisturize, just treat, which is great for me with my somewhat oily skin in the Florida humidity), sinks into skin very quickly leaving your face smooth and silky with no film. The serum doesn't sting skin, and makes it feel a little tight after application. The cons: it made me break out. Argh. I'm 44, freckles, quite a bit from sun damage from my 26 years of distance swimming in the Florida sun (despite endless sunblock) and have combo skin. I get maybe one or two zits every two months, but these pimples came out of nowhere and in unusual places. So it's definitely a reaction to the serum. My skin isn't that sensitive, and the serum isn't greasy, so it surprised me. I wonder if the ingredients they use to instantly tighten skin (and whatever it is that gives skin that tight feeling right after application) is clogging my pores. Also, the serum it smells EXACTLY like hairspray from the late 1980's- the really cheap kind. And now that I think about it, it *feels* a little like hairspray when you apply it to your skin. It gives you that tight, sticky feeling. Whenever I use this product I feel like I am back in the Jr. High bathroom on Long Island with all the girls blasting their Aqua Net out of the giants cans they kept in their giant purses. The scent of this serum is crazy! There is some sort of floral/lavender scent in there, but as someone who is an avid gardener and has grown lavender, this is not any sort of natural scent. I'm not normally someone who cares about chemically scents (I like the smell of Sharpies, for pete's sake) but the serum smells really strong. And I have to mention this: the packaging is SO cheap. Lightweight brittle plastic. Even drugstore brands put their serums and treatments and masks in small glass bottles these days. Anything with alcohol or a solvent, which a lot of facial products have in them, will definitely have a reaction with plastic, so glass is always better. I know some people prefer plastic over glass and I accept that (breaking glass in the bathroom is never good) but if you are going to use plastic on a product of this cost, at least spring for a nice feeling matte plastic or something that doesn't feel like it could snap in two if you squeeze it.I don't know... If this serum were fifteen dollars, I would be much more enthused. But I don't feel like this is a high-end product at all. However, many people swear by it. I mean, if it improves my skin in the next few weeks, I would reconsider my rating. Heck, if I found a skin-care product that made me feel great about my skin, I would absolutely consider the investment- feeling good about myself is really worth it at this age when things seem to be going a little haywire. But I just feel like this product is outrageously priced for what you get. It doesn't feel luxurious, or like a treat, and it doesn't seem to be doing anything, either. For the cost of this one smallish bottle of serum, you can get a whole suite of skin care products from other really great brands.Like I said, I will update this review if my skin improves or I feel like the product lives up to the hype. But after two weeks of this, I'm going back to the drawing board and seeing if I can find a product that smoothes/firms and nourishes my skin, makes it look a little more vibrant, and doesn't break me out in the process.

Not Worth the Price
This is a nice product which moisturizes your face overnight and does diminish the look of wrinkles. But a lot of products do that for a lot less money. So while this does do what it claims, I would never spend $200 on it.

Visible Results
For several years now, I've been a devotee of the Korean multi-step skincare regimen. Every evening, after a modified version of the double cleanse, I apply toner followed by layers of essence, an ampoule/serum and moisturizer. Since Korean skincare is now big business in the West, I wasn't really surprised to see a luxury European brand like Erno Laszlo getting in on the act. Inside the box for this serum was a comprehensive brochure of a new line of products that included an essence, double cleanse set, serum and sheet masks.Erno Laszlo has been around a long time and is well-known and respected - not to mention pretty pricey. I remember as a girl longing for a bar of their famous black soap that adorned the vanities of so many high profile ladies back in the early 1980's (much the same way jars of La Mer crème do these days). To give this serum a fair test, I opted to use it for 30 days in place of my usual toner, essence, serum and night cream. I applied it once each evening immediately following my double cleanse (an oil makeup remover and an exfoliating cleanser). I must admit I was pleasantly surprised at the result. Within the first week, I could see the results in terms of brighter, more refined skin. At 56, I don't really have issues with wrinkles, so I can't speak for it diminishing the appearance of fine lines, but I do feel it helped me to maintain the fresh, youthful and "glowy" look I achieve with multiple (albeit much less expensive) Korean products. Plus, the light lavender fragrance is very relaxing and, quite simply, divine. Perfect for bedtime. All in all, while this single product is much pricier than the Korean products from Misscha, Etude House and CosRX that it replaced, it did the work of all of them in a fraction of the time and effort. This really lives up to the Laszlo name and reputation.Recommended if you can afford it.
