The story of one of America's best ever race cars
The Scarab cars came into my radar back when they first came on the scene; I was a subscriber to Sports Cars Illustrated (now Car and Driver) and Road and Track back in that era. They were compelling cars then, still are now. My eyes said then, and do now, that they are one of the most beautiful race cars ever built. This book is a must-have for anyone who loves the Scarabs. The company and the man were both way too short lived. Fortunately, all the cars still survive and continue to be raced in various Vintage race series. I have three 25th scale models of the Mk1 to remind me of what I can't afford!

Scarab - The Great American Race Cars
As a car book writer, Twenty-Five Affordable Classic Cars ,I love books about cars and the people who made or drove them.I have been a huge fan of Lance Reveltlow for years and finally I was able to buy Scarab by Preston Lerner. This book goes into the details of every Scarab race car and every race. It is the definitive resource about the Scarab. The photos by Dave Friedman are fantastic. I highly recommend this book to any lover of American road racing.

A great history of the Scarab Sports Racing Cars
This is the definitive history of the Scarab sports racing cars of the late 50's and early 60's. It has a large number of photographs which will document the marque. Especially helpful in gaining an understanding of the mechanical variations and configurations of the early cars.

A Great History of a Great Historical Period in American Road Racing!
I was always thrilled with the Scarab. As a kid, I used to see them race at Riverside, Pomona, Santa Barbara.I bought a used copy in 2002 and along the way, I have had the privilege of meeting and getting autographs of many of the drivers from that historical era. The book is one of my most treasured possessions. That should say it all.

Wonderful and very Rare Book At A Rare Car and Personality.
Book is very good, Alot of pictures, Color,B&W,History. Book is expensive, and rare, out of print as of this writing,as a paperback version was canceled by MBI. Sheds light on the Car and it's creator, And The place where it was built, which later was taken over/purchased by shelby.Great book on these Great Chevy Powered Cars.(Most were, with a offy here, and a olds there, mostly Chevy if not GM powered) And it was ALL-AMERICAN not a Anglo-American Hybrid(AC COBRA).
