Perfect Upgrade for Savage Impulse!
Purchased this knob for a Savage Impulse Predator rifle. The OEM bolt knob is light but its shape wasn’t comfortable for me to operate the bolt. Seeing the new Impulse Klym rifles used a big ol’ round knob, I guessed the Savage engineers/designers made an improvement to the rifle’s operation with that knob shape. So I started looking for spherical or cylindrical bolt knobs. Wrt choosing a texture, I noted that the OEM bolt release used a “dragon-scale” pattern so this bolt handle fits-in consistently with the rifle’s controls. Weight is 1.2oz heavier than stock. Not bad given how much it improved the operability of the action. Installed by putting the knob in vise jaws padded with leather and then used the bolt for leverage to thread it on completely.
