A Reference Guide to Medicinal Plants: Herbal Medicine Past and Present Paperback – January 25, 1990

If you are into herbal medicines and live in the southeastern US, this definitely should be in your collection. I have had it a short while, yet find it represents the old southern herb doctors well and also adds additional studies and current uses for the plants discussed. It is a companion book to "Trying to Give Ease" which is about Tommie Bass and his stories of helping people with various health issues. Both are outstanding.

A friend told me about this gentleman and I was interested enough to purchase the books myself. I have not had time to read it yet but she said it was great.

So much information. Ive only had time to browse but have learned from it already.

I liked this book. While I'm not an herbalist, it was fairly easy to comprehend. I appreciate simple terminology and explanations.

This comprehensive volume covers Edible and Medicinal Herbs and gives tested advise about dosage.
