Dragon's Claw (Modesty Blaise series)

I am a big fan of Modesty Blaise, and was amazed to discover that there was actually a written book that I did not have. It does not disappoint. It is as fun and exciting as any other Modesty Blaise book I have read. I will certainly keep watching Amazon to see if Peter O'Donnell turns out any others. I highly recommend not only this book, but the entire Modesty Blaise series to anyone who likes excitement flavored with humor and excellent characterizations. These are people I'd like to know! I always am sad when I finish a book, as I feel like I am leaving those friends, for awhile at least. That is one reason that I get excited when a new one comes out. It gives me a chance to renew old friendships and to laugh and gasp along with them.

I have always loved Peter O'Donnell's Modesty Blaise books and graphic novels. This one compares well with his best; Modesty and Willie are once again set against the baddies that come in various forms and avatars. Brainwork and strategy make our duo triumph once again making for yet another very enjoyable tale. Thanks Peter O'Donnell for making the adrenalin pump and the night lamp burn as yet another thrilling tale is perused to the end!

I am a huge fan of Peter O'Donnell's writing, and I give all the Modesty Blaise novels five stars. (I've read most of them five times.) This one has more twists than most, but features the same great cast of villains O'Donnell always creates. As always, Modesty and Willie do the impossible, while making it believable. O'Donnell writes the best hand-to-hand combat scenes of any author, living or dead.

I have actually bought this book three different times :)......I would read a copy ,and give it away to some one......I bought my second copy ,and after re-reading it ,I gave this copy away to some one.....This is my third copy ,and I will read it ,and keep this one for myself :)......There are a few books that I will enjoy for ever ,and this is one of those books :).....Buy it :)

This is a middling good Blaise. It has a pedestrian plot, but Modesty's opponent is pretty interesting and her besting of him is handled very well.

I love James Bond, but Modesty----any of the novels or graphic novels--has him beat. Great villains and plots but most of all Modesty and Willie!

Read the Modesty Blaise books some years ago and have greatly enjoyed re reading them all again! .. good old fashioned drama, excitement and a touch of humour! .. read and enjoy!¬

Not my favourite of the Modesty Blaise books but still merits 5 stars.

Another O'Donnell lightweight tale of Modesty and Willie, defeating massive odds, and keeping Tarrant and Frazer, of the 'ministry', happy.
