Decadence Hardcover – April 23, 2013

I am a huge EJD fan like many others but I was on the fence with this one. I like the book, like the erotica of the book but the character and the plot were confusing to me at times. I was upset with the way it ended but trying to come to terms with myself that books or movies should not always have that fairy tale ending. I understand that he has to expand his books but I found myself drifting from the book a few times. She kept rambling and I was even thinking "stop her from talking please". I know I lack World knowledge and I know EJD has to grow as an author but I just could not keep up or I just wasnt interested when there were talks of other countries and different languagues. There seems to be alot more of this from him lately, even from the books about Gideon (which I loved LOL).Overall I decided to give a 4 and not a 3 because I have love for EJD as a LIFE LONG FAN and I am not fooling anyone but myself because I will still buy anything that he puts out....NO MATTER WHATHey......was it just me or did any other women think to themselves, How is he portraying a women in this detail ?!!! I am not sure on how I feel about that. Would I rather hear a story like that from a female author or what? Not sure..... I know that art and a persons imagination is pushed out into their books but a part of me continues to ask that question.

This is a character that I enjoyed thoroughly in "Pleasure" and truthfully didn't expect anything to be added to her storyline. I was appreciative to find this book and felt that it still read the same as the first despite the time gap in release dates. Now, I must say that I treasured the first more than this novel, but it is still a great read if you are a fan of Nia Simone Bijou. You are exposed to yet another aspect of her and how she interacts with the predominant lovers in her life which is much different than in "Pleasure". There was some places where she goes on inner dialogue tangents that could have been compressed or replaced with other scenes, but overall, I still felt a deep connection to the character as I read the novel and often found myself reading multiple chapters at a time until I reached the unfortunate end.

I won't even spoil this book by giving to much information, but let me tell you straight-up if you though (PLEASURE book 1 on Nia) was the s*** you need to purchase this book and think again from the time I bought it I read it until the end 7-8 hours an I'm extremely fast reader, but damn I just wanted to slow down and take my time on some parts HOTTTTTTT!!!! I'm sorry Eric but this by far is your best novel it tops eery other book you have ever written, and I thank you graciously for not making this one boring as hell like you did Nia's short story into her past. I bought this book on eBook but I am most deff going to the book store to purchase a hardcover it jus deserves very much so to go on my shelf next to wonderful collectibles for other authors including your Gideon series and PLEASURE. ENJOUY EVERYONE!! The book ain't cheap but its so damn worth it.

Finnaly finished this series and enjoyed every chapter...can't wait to move on to another...Hope the rest are just as good...

The best of the best, I love EJD his writing is so stimulating to the mind. I love that he doesn't use the same boring words. I love having to look up a word and extend my own vocabulary every now and again. The continuation of Nia's journey was incredible. I enjoyed the appearances of some of my favorite characters from other books, it all tied together well. The story was very well put together and I feel as if there is more to come hopefully? Overall it was everything I expected with the exception of the twins. I can't lie I was hoping her and Karl would end up back together and I really expected a big blow out between "The Jewel of the South" so sorry they didn't make an appearance haha. Very exhilarating read I could not put it down. MUST READ!

This man and these words! This man has a way with words like non other. I felt as if he had opened up my soul and wrote about parts of me; what a woman wants, how she feels, what she requires of love and relationships. The erotic parts were entertaining but the best parts were Nia expressing her thoughts and feelings as she journeyed throughout her life and fulfilling her sexual desires. I needed more of Nia and Bret at the end. We as woman always want what we know we shouldn't have and all the while, what we needed was right there all along.....Eric Jerome Dickey has my heart locked in a box and travels with it as he entertains the world. My favorite author....still waiting for Gideon's return. Keep writing and I will keep supporting. Peace and blessings.

The storyline as always with EJD was captivating!The bonus chapter was brilliant and a a great twist! His word play is so vivid you will think you’re there!

This book is soooooo articulately written. Yes there is a lot of sex but 'read' beyond that. I take away so many thought processes and sayings from this book. A defo read if you want to feed your mind with intelligence, even though 'sex' is on the menu....BRILLIANT!!

I have so many of Eric's books because they're are captivating and inquisitive. It's a really good read. Sexy and captivating

still reading it but its Eric Jerome Dickey so you know it great. Steamy and intriguing glad I purchased it.

When I read Pleasure it became my favourite Novel Ever! When I heard about Decadence it was a must have buy-Eric Jerome Dickey didn't disappoint-now onto the Next novel :)

So far so good, I'm enjoying the read 👌😉
