WOW! Absolutely Amazing Book!
This was a wonderful story with great characters and a nice happy ending.Milly had horrible parents who at the age of five, left her abandoned in a trailer for several days before her Poppy finds her and raises her. In college, Milly meets who she thinks is the man of her dreams. Her marriage starts out perfect, but then the cheating and verbal abuse begins. However Milly stays because she adores and loves his crazy mom. When her mother-in-law dies and leaves Milly all her millions in inheritance, Milly leaves town with a bucket list in hand and in search of some happiness. The town she finds is perfect. She opens her own business, becomes fast best friends with her new hairstylist Lacey and meets Cree who she's instantly attracted to. Cree is HOT! He is an absolute doll and one of the best leading guy characters I have read. At first Milly thinks he's married because he has a precious daughter. She soon learns he's a single dad, that he's interested in her and that's when things pick up.Annie is Cree's daughter and she makes this book. You will fall in love with this adorable five year old sweetheart. Cree loves his daughter and is the perfect father. Soon Milly is right there with him and falls for both father and daughter.Secondary characters, Lacey, Willow (Cree's sister) and Greyson (Cree's best friend) are great. You will laugh out loud when they all get together. It was so much fun to read and you never knew what they were going to do or say next.No matter how much you wish the past stay that way, it has a way of creeping back up and trying to ruin the present. Both Milly's and Cree's past make an appearance. Will the strength of their love be enough to save them?WONDERFUL book! Can't wait to read Tripp and Lacey's book next.

An amazing hit
This book will take hold of you form the very first word and not let go. This book is about two people who have been hurt in the past but are looking for something they just don't know what yet. When Cree first lays eyes on Milly something just clicks. Milly thinks that Cree is hot and there is something that just falls into place when she first meets him but it is Cree's daughter that really steals the show with Milly. There are so many things I want to tell you about this story but I dont want to ruin it for another reader. What I will tell you is this book is about love, acceptance and finding the way to let go of the things that will hurt you most to get the things that will bring you the most joy. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone

An Emotional Tailspin
Cree and Milly have been through the wringer but they pressed on. Their meeting was by chance but the results were outstanding. It was a connection that will bond and mend their hearts but the past was not finished with either one of them. Will their bond hold through the storm that's coming? This emotional story will have your hearts all over the place and cheering this couple on to a happily ever after.

Great cover, okay story
Not sure what to say here. I was firmly Team Millie as the book started and I was happy when things began to go her way. The introduction of Millie as a child was touching and well done, as was her relationship with Frances. (Minor spoilers from here.) I tried not to be judgmental when Millie had a random encounter in a garage followed a really superficial relationship that started in a bar parking lot; both just seemed out of character and, let’s face it, risky. When Millie made it to her new home, I was happy when she forged a sister/friend bond with Lacey and, again, when Millie and Cree found each other. That happened later in the book than it should/could have imho. I could have done without the pages and pages of bows, headbands and tights, though. Annie was a delight, Olive was underplayed and seemed forgotten, and the “ho” language felt way overdone for me. While the appearance of Cree's significant other from college might have helped the plot line a little, the arrival of Millie's ex-husband didn't really serve a purpose and wasted space for me. On a positive note, the intimate moments were plentiful and made me want a fan…very well done there.Millie and Cree were a good couple who formed a great family with others they loved but this book won’t stick with me. I truly enjoy this author but Cree, which had tons of potential, fell a bit flat and is not one that I’ll likely re-read.

mMm more please!
Amelia or Milly has had to deal with things that no person should go threw! It all started when she was 5 years old and her parents abandoned her in a trailer. Then she married the bastard! He is a no good piece of s***! After getting divorced she moves to a small town and becomes friends with a witty girl named Lacey. She wants to start checking things off her list so she does what she always wanted to do...open a shop. That is where she met Cree Fitzpatrick.Cree is a swoon-worthy sex on a stick! He is a gem! I fell in love with him so easily. I mean, HELLO, not only is he a hot, manly cowboy….but the man is funny, sarcastic, romantic and he is an amazing father!Annie was just perfect!!! The things she would say! I was dying!! The sprinkles was the perfect touch!!This book was phenomenal! I laughed, I cried, I swooned, and I cursed. My emotions were running wild, let me tell you. AMAZING!! There were moments where I could not read fast enough. In fact, there was one specific scene where I think I even stopped breathing all together!!!! I kept turning the pages wanting to know what happened next.

I didn't want to put it down
This book has all the feels. Heartbreak, hope, love, fear, courage, and a hard won happily ever after. This is a story of a woman beaten down from her very beginning who finds her strength in herself and the family she chooses and chooses her unconditionally. A well written, really enjoyable read.

So not what i expected!! Loved it :) :)
This story was not at all what I expected.. I expected another bad boy meets good girl story & it was nothing at all like that. I was hooked at page 1 when I wanted to wrap up 5 year old Milly and take her home with me :(Then I wanted to punch that horrible ex husbands lights out!Lacy & Willow were awesome, if all women had besties like that the world would be a happier place! Then there is Cree.... Well who wouldn't want one of him in their lives! This was a beautiful story that kept me on the seat of my chair because no matter how happy Cree, Milly & Annie were throughout the whole book I know something was going to happen that was going to risk it all. I am so so happy that it wasn't another man or women that came between them, but what did threaten their happiness was just awful.I am so glad they got their happy ever after..Oh & Milly's first mother in law rocks!! All in laws should be like her!!I started reading this this morning & didn't put it down till I finished this afternoon, it was that bloody good! Thanks HJ Bellus for a fabulous read, i'm off to get me some Tripp loaded onto my kindle now to read tonight xx

Princess and Pirates
This is a great little read from Bellus. It is a HEA story but you will need a few tissues. The characters created are natural and each have a wonderful personality there are moments of extreme hilarity that made the book that much more easier to read. Lacey is by far the funniest

Small town single dad mixed with a woman with a troubled past on a new adventure equals a sweet HEA romance!
I’m new to HJ Bellus books and didn’t know what to expect. Cree mixes the classic storylines of a single dad romance and a girl with a heartbreaking past. I enjoyed the book and would possibly consider reading more by this author in the future.Cree is the story of Milly (Amelia), who is portrayed as a strong and feisty character, not a victim, despite having a troubled past and single dad Cree who knows his own mind but also has an adorable relationship with his daughter Annie, showing his softer side. At the beginning of this book, I wasn’t sure what to expect, nor where the story was going, but I tried to be patient as the blurb drew me in but I’m glad I did. I found the book a little jumpy and as I said, it took me a little while to settle into the story as it felt like at the beginning the book especially the chapters would abruptly stop in the middle of one bit and then just start a new chapter unnecessarily from that point rather than all being in one chapter. However, as the story progressed, it seemed to flow better and wasn’t quite as jumpy. There are a few smoking hot sexual scenes (sometimes quite surprisingly, especially early on) that will definitely satisfy you if you like a book with a bit of steam.Milly and Cree find themselves attracted to each other after Milly ends up settling in a small town in Colorado. Personally, I liked how the author developed the relationship throughout the book and never felt overall it was rushed too much and felt just right. The way Cree helps her get over her some of her childhood fears (e.g. the toes situation) was very touching. I loved the way relationship between Annie and Milly played out and how Milly was integrated into the role of filling a mother figure to Annie through a natural occurrence rather than it being expected of her to fill that role instantly. Annie will steal your heart and there is a touching scene in school towards middle of the book between Milly and Annie that will tug at your heart strings. The characters of Lacey, Greyson and Willow added another dimension to the main characters and allowed different sides of their characters to be shown. The humorous writing style, told from Milly’s P.O.V, adds a unique blend to this story (although some may find the language a bit crude) and helps the flow of the book that moves at a steady enough pace but doesn’t ever appear to be dragging or moving too quickly. Even though it is only told from Milly’s P.O.V, you do get a good understanding of Cree and his views with how the book is written. The epilogue and HEA wraps everything up in Milly, Cree and Annie’s story so that this can be read as a standalone. One thing that stopped me rating this book any higher was that there were a couple of typos/errors. It’s not a major issue and not enough to put me off reading the book but just niggled me when reading. If you like a standalone romantic comedies/ single parent romance with a HEA, I would say give this book a try. Overall I enjoyed the story for something different.
